Finally! Lost Season Two has started in South Africa! (Open Ep 1 spoilers, heh)

It was a long wait, but it finally started here on Wednesday. It’s torture, because I know you all know stuff that I don’t, and I have to skip right over the threads each week, but finally I get to find out what happens!

One question, if anyone remembers the answer…

When Walt appears before Shannon, I can make out him saying “I have something they want” but I can’t make out anything else. Is it intentionally garbled, or was someone able to figure out the rest of what he said? Oh, and that scene seriously freaked me out for some reason… (It didn’t help that the same night, we felt the tremors from the earthquake in Mozambique, causing me to wake up thinking someone had just gotten in bed next to me!)
**
(Please, please, please** don’t tell me anything beyond that, unless you are absolutely, 100% positive that it happened in the first episode, because I will break the fingers of any person who spoils something!!)

Oh, and I was so proud of myself for figuring out that Desmond was the guy in the hatch even before he said “See you in another life!” although I think the jaw-on-the-floor factor might have been more fun

It was garbled. If you were able to make out “I have something they want” it’s more than I was able to do.

According to all the discussion and spoiler sites (after that episode aired here), the common wisdom is that it was a line that was played backwards.

So you’ll have to play it backwards to get what Walt said. (Hint: It wasn’t “Paul is dead!”)

Enjoy Season 2. So far, it has been mostly lekke.

Oooh, I missed this! Spoil me!

If I recall, it was something like:
“Don’t press the button. The button’s bad.”

Or, another version that some people have claimed to hear was:

“Press the button. No button’s bad.”

Kind of different meanings, depending on which one you believe.
Oh, the temptation is so great, but I will not read!

Gah… Come on Wednesday, I need a Lost fix!

Well, you might as well, unless you plan to try to play Walt’s lines backwards yourself to find out. Because it’s not anything that future episodes of the show actually do for you. The way the rest of us found out what it said was either playing it backwards or finding clips of it played backwards on ther sites (where somebody else went to the trouble).

Cool…

So I guess the question (based on my one episode from season two experience) is whether he’s referring to the “execute” button…
