I know a few years ago a post by a poster made me think of my brother, and I found out it was indeed him. He never posted much, and didn’t subscribe, but I think he might still read here once in a while, though I don’t know for sure. I don’t actually remember the username he had, though I do know it was some fancy word that I had to look up to know what it meant; he’s like that!
I briefly wondered if a certain Doper might be my husband. They have incredibly similar tastes in a lot of specific areas of pop culture stuff, to the point where I actually asked my husband if he was posting here. He said no, and I’ve since established that the Doper is in fact a completely separate person. I imagine he and my husband either would get along or drive each other crazy.
Im sort of surprised I haven’t actually been able to identify anybody from the University of Florida (now we’re all talking about it, pop out of the woodwork, dammit!), though there’s a “Don’t Tase Me, Bro” Guest around i saw earlier…
There’s a lot of people located in Northern Virginia, but then, there’s a LOT of people up there, and most people I know would be at college now.
I’ve not yet seen anything to convince me that I’m not the only Roanoke area Doper. That sentence needs more negatives. I have not yet failed not to see a lack of evidence that there are not Dopers not living not in Roanoke that are not me. I hope you got the point the first time, because I didn’t bother counting in that last one.
There are a few (three or four, I think) in the southwest Virginia region, and one in my original hometown in upstate New York, but I’ve never met any of them.
It would be cool to find out I’m wrong about either of those, though. 
I’ve taken to randomly shouting “Gotcha Ya!” at bars in the Richmond to see if you’re in there.
I live in Duboce now, so if you’re at Lucky 13, odds are good. I do still make it out to 540 fairly often, though.
