finding moved threads

maybe it’s just me, but i thought that when a thread was moved, it used to leave a closed copy in the original forum. ie, thread moved from gq to gd. original thread in gq is still there, only closed, with a note from the mod that the thread was moved. active thread is in gd.

recently i had a thread moved from gq to imho, and i had no clue where it had gone. there was no closed thread to let me know it had been moved.

i know it happened this way back when the sdmb was a ubb board. that’s how ubb does it. but i didn’t notice the change when we first moved to vb. how long has this been going on? how dense am i? do you have a choice about this feature? how are we supposed to know when threads are moved?

It’s been going on since we switched to Vbb. We can’t leave a locked copy of the thread in the forum anymore. So if you can’t find a thread, each forum has a thread maintained by the mods titled something like “Moved Threads” or “Here’s Where Your Damn Thread Went To” or “For God’s Sake Post in the Right Forum You Flaming Twits” or similar. In this thread, mods post the title and link of each thread they move.
