Finding my car's paint code

I’ve got two small scratches in my front bumper, and I’m looking to buy some touch up paint to make them look at least a little less ugly than they already are. The problem is, I don’t know my car’s paint code.

I tried looking inside the driver side door panel, where I’ve always seen the paint code before, but there’s nothing there. Just the tire pressure guidelines. I looked inside the glove box for a sticker, but nada. I’m pretty sure that Mitsubishi only made one color silver Eclipse in 2000, so how would I go about finding out what paint code that would be, short of calling up their headquarters or trekking down to the nearest Mitsubishi dealership?

FWIW, my old Toyota had its paint code on a sticker on the inside of the trunk lid.

I would say just call the dealer.

This has paint code locations for various automakers, so you can try looking in one of the spots indicated on the diagram for Mitsubishi. Often the paint code is incorporated into the VIN, as well, and if you call a Mitsubishi dealer with the VIN, they may be able to tell you the paint color code.

Enjoy.

Just paint the damn thing black.

Curse you Q.E.D. and your special speedy post privileges…oh yes, don’t think that we don’t all know that members of the SDSAB get better service than the rest of underlings!

:d

Well, crap on a cracker! Clearly, we don’t get any special typing skills to go along with that.
