Finding saved games on Xbox - Lego

Some time ago I started a thread about saving Star Wars Lego games on the Xbox 360.

Then the Cub lost interest for a while.

Now we’re back playing them.

And I still can’t find the saved games!

i’m a total noob here.

The Lego Star Wars front page comes up.

It offers me

“New Game”
“Load Game”
“Xbox Live”
“Options”

I click Load Game.

I get:

“You do not have an active gamer profile. Saving and achievements will be disabled. To create or laod a gamer profile now, press the XBox Guide Button. Press A to continue without saving and achievements.”

I click “Guide” and get the XBox Guide menu:

XBox Home
Sign In (2 profiles)
Create Profile
Download Profile
Play Lego Star Wars: TCS

I click on Sign in , and it shows the Cub’s profile, “Signed In”

If I click on it, it says “This Profile is signed in. Sign it out?”

So where are the saved games???

Please help a noob!

Once you sign in under a profile you ought to be able to simply load the game (i.e., insert the disc), and when the main screen comes up you ought to be able to load a saved game from there. The 360 saves gamestates for each profile the game is played under.

Are you asking if you can find the saved game directly in the memory? You ought to be able to access the memory through the settings (I haven’t used my 360 in a while because my drive is shot and I have a One, so I’m not sure exactly what the precise procedure is anymore), but even if you do it will only tell you that it has data stored for that particular game, not what the data is.

How? I can’t find the menu or button or what ever it is that loads the saved game. I click on “Load”, as described above, and I get the message that there’s no active gamer profile, even though there is a profile and we’re logged into it.

No, I’m asking how I find a saved game in a menu to start it playing. I’m not trying to find the data.

I don’t want to have to play the “Negotiations” segment every time, to unlock free play.

Clearly you’re not logged into your child’s profile, even though you think you are. Or, perhaps, the machine is malfunctioning. Who knows? So, let’s do this step-by-step.

When you press the X-button in the center of the controller, if you are in fact signed into a profile it should look like this and should not give you the option to sign into a profile. If it doesn’t look like that you need to sign into the desired profile. That should solve your problem. If not, we’ll try something else.

What’s the other profile? Is it possible the saves are actually under that one, instead of your kid’s?

Check my post and Miller’s last post from your previous thread - sometimes, with Lego Star Wars, you’ve got to drop out of the game and restart it to get the saved games to show up, even though you’re correctly signed into the profile. And make sure you’re using the controller that’s actually signed in when you’re picking a game - to be 100% sure, I’d pull the batteries from any other controllers and try that way.

Yeah, Xbox has some seriously weird interactions between multiple controllers and profiles.

I endorse the plan of making sure that, at the very least, no other controllers are turned on before you load the game.

It must have been the controller! It stopped working so we went out and bought a new one, and now re Cub is happily amassing gobs of tokens and mini-kits! Thanks all!

Great! That, like all Lego games, is a lot of fun. Remember what I said in the other thread about slave-outfit Leia and the B button.
