Any word on what the guy does (did) for a living? If he plays football for the NFL he is looking at suspension or worse.
What I don’t grasp is how it took you 11 posts before you rode in on your high horse to scold the kiddies here.
Decent society can bear the luxury of “imagining” horrible punishment on an evil doer. It’s born from empathy. One can only imagine the pain and suffering of those children and have a knee jerk reaction with wanting to demonstrate to the evil guy just how horrible his actions were. Doesn’t mean that they will do it.
Which ones of your posts on this board were not advocacy? Do you place a little symbol on them so readers can tell when you’re actually saying something you mean?
I actually feel better about you now. Thank goodness you don’t mean the stupid horseshit you’ve been typing here.
Of course he does, as we all do. They aren’t displaying for you?
After reading the article I can tell you:
It doesn’t say how he killed the children, so it may have been a quick death at least.
He was allegedly under paranoid delusions that his children were plotting to murder him and as such believed he was acting in self defense.
He was also allegedly under the influence of meth.
His life, as judged by the state of his living conditions, was a wreck.
Personally, what I see here is a sad, sick man. Another case where better access to mental healthcare and less stigma towards asking for it may have helped.
What I said is purely RO. If I had any say on the matter, which I don’t, I wouldn’t actually propose such a punishment in seriousness, just like, I’m sure the ones making jokes above really aren’t concerned about littering in the face of this vile crime.
The guy needs to be locked up though. Society is safer without him running around. And on reading more on the case he also probably needs treatment.
Also, is everyone on the internet a religious nutjob? Jeebus, those comments…
I don’t see why.
It’s not like he has any more kids.
I often express myself in what could be called advocacy, if one wants to describe it as such. I also often express myself in irony and sarcasm. I don’t think I’ve been prone to ranting (except occasionally to humerous effect) but feel free to scour my posting history for examples if you like. I also don’t think I’ve been prone to the kind of sanctimony to which I was responding, but it may have happened. Same invitation for you to scour as you see fit.
All the times I’ve called you on your ideologically blinkered thinking and your accusations of hypocrisy even as you gleefully engage in it… those were sincere, and I was right to do so.
For what it’s worth, my first impulse is that this man should be eventually executed (though I see no need to call for determined sadism) if the alleged facts are established beyond reasonable doubt, but I’d be okay with an outcome comparable to the Andrea Yates case, pending reasons why I shouldn’t be.
Yeah, if he had been an engineer with General Motors or Phillips—or, god forbid, in marketing—this would not have been surprising at all.
(Janitors, call center workers, and pizza delivery drivers actually get a quota of five child murders before the cops start issuing fines.)
Yeah, June is nine months away. Bit of a squeeze. Fingers crossed for 2016!
Damn it. Now my place in hell has been guaranteed.
Well, none that he - heh-heh - knows about.
I assume if he knew, he would have taken them out too.
A lot of people are idiots. The history of human progress is basically the very slow fight against people like this.
I’m going to hell, this made me laugh.
Well to be fair, this dude did kill the person who killed his family. So you gotta give him some props for that.
If only he hadn’t gotten the order wrong.

Shodan
