If true, it would explain why he makes such a great Guy Gardner in the DCU.
I’ve heard the same about Fillion, but he does keep getting jobs.
Hollywood often blacklists difficult people. He seems to get work.
Although, as he mentions in the intro to the “Once We Were Spacemen” podcast, he once didn’t get a job where they were looking for a “Nathan Fillion type”.
Worse, Ernie Hudson was told he had to audition to voice Winston on the cartoon show. He needed the money, so he did. He was rejected.
He’s an actor. He can present a different public image than his real personality. And if fans like his public image, they’ll keep watching.
We may be in for a letdown.
Jewel Staite has just posted there’s going to be a Firefly reunion…
Of the actors appearing in a panel together at a fan convention.
It’s got to hurt to lose a job to Larry Storch.
But apparently merely a convention reunion was specifically denied.

I agree with others who suspect an animated series or something disappointing. But if it somehow is a live-action show, my guess is Tudyk comes back as some kind of cyborg with Wash’s brain. Tudyk has the robot-acting thing down (Rogue One/Andor, I Robot, Superman (2025), and more).
I’m so convinced it isn’t new live-action episodes, I"m up for making a bet of sorts. No way are they doing more.
I would be excited by an animated series. That’s a lot more flexible than live-action in terms of timeline and such, and maybe even in terms of budget.
Other than Stana Kanic I’m not sure who else didn’t like working with him. It certainly doesn’t seem universal. He’s close with Alan Tudyk for instance.
I have that same post from her Facebook group, about a convention this weekend which will feature, as guests, seven of the eight living main cast (everyone but Baldwin). She then literally says, in her comment under the convention’s ad:
Maybe a computer game? That could be fun.
That would get me playing something other than Civilization, I’ll admit.
They have announced an animated show. They have:
- the rights
- the script
- the showrunners
- the cast
They need a place for it to stream.
Fantastic! I think that has the best chance of success. Voice acting is much easier to schedule around for actors’ other projects.
Again?
