Best Ball is geared towards fantasy football fans who find the process of the draft as the most fun. It is a way to manage 15 fantasy football teams without the time commitment such a thing would normally take. The cynical part of me thinks it is for players who want to say I always knew that Rico Dowdle was going to be awesome. I drafted him in several of my leagues.
Once again, a mediocre showing by my one of my players on TNF has put me squarely on the chopping block. Hoping for a couple of miracles on Sunday and Monday.
It’s starting to look like I finally put the wrong players on the bench. Maye and Hunter posting 20+ (and at halftime for Maye) along with Swift going off could mean bad things.
Oh, and I still don’t know if Jacobs is going to play.
My bench consists of a full starting roster (my QB2 is on bye), but it’s put up nearly 100 points. They’re going to outscore my starters, who I’m convinced are going to tank me.
Looks like Bo Nix saw my team at halftime and said, “Nah.”
And I am officially done. Lead me to the gallows.

For Monday night, I’ve got a 17-point lead and Nico Collins versus Railer’s Amon-Ra St. Brown and Caleb Otton.
It’s probably going to be very close.
As of the start of the second game, you need a bit over 10.6 from Nico Collins. Start of the second, he has 1.1. It’s gonna be CLOSE.
ETA: And Collins just dropped 2.5 points. I’m glad I’m not having to worry about this one.
I went to bed after the baseball game and watched none of the late NFL game. I was shocked when I woke up this morning and was still alive.
That’s two weeks in a row that I’ve finished one chop away from being headless. Nerve-wracking, to say the least!
So I’m pretty sure that’s not what “official done” means. People have been way too early to (definitively) declare their own deaths.
I think of it as reverse psychology.
A lifetime of never winning a fantasy football league has conditioned me to expect disappointment.
I couldn’t keep almost missing the chop forever and this weekend was just a bad one for almost my entire team. So off I (finally) go to the gallows.
But that was fun and I’m looking forward to playing again next year.
