First Men In The Moon

I just recieved my very own copy of the Charles Schneer film First Men In The Moon. From 1964.

I haven’t seen it since I was a child. So I tore open the package and watched it last night.

Fun, in a lazy kind of way. Excellent special effects, fun charactors. Not the best story, adapted from the H.G. Welles book, but some of Ray Harryhausen’s best work for my money.

Loved the moon calf.

I assume this was a DVD? I’ve seen it on VHS, and it was crummy quality (fuzzy and dark), but if the DVD was crisp and sharp, I could probably convince myself to spend some money and buy a copy.

Yes, a dvd. Crisp and clear. Also, I forgot to mention how darn funny Lionel Jeffries was.
