Let’s try to keep this in GQ and not discuss whether or not 9/11 was a false flag, but I’m curious as to who the first person was to call “Bullshit” and how long after the event it was.
I was a freshman in college at the time, and whoever that person was didn’t wait long, as I seem to recall reading that very theory no more than a month or so later, in High Times magazine, no less.
No cite, but I and several friends who were watching the buildings fall in real time were amazed that they pancaked straight down, rather than toppling over. So I would be very surprised if there weren’t conspiracy theories published that very day.
Depending on what you mean by “public,” I’m sure there were people on internet forums making on theories as soon as it happened.
I think on the very day, my wife and I both, independently, thought, “this will work out good for Bush.” My next thought was, “but that’s crazy.” Mrs. 74westy’s thoughts remained conspiratorial.
