Well, First Wave has come to an end. Spoilers fill this post, but if you didn’t expect it, you deserve it. If you didn’t see it but want to know what happened, read on.
Cade stopped the Second Wave.
Yep, he, Jordan, Joshua, and Crazy Eddie entered the Gua bunker and had their brains messed with by the Gua. They eventualy broke free, and Cade was able to kill Mabus and prevent the second wave from beginning.
BUT…
Before Cade killed Mabus, Mabus told him that he remembered a very different Cade Foster, the one who was a Gua leader before they came to Earth. He told him that project “Twice Bless’d” was the ultimate Gua experience that involved allowing one of their own(Cade) to come to Earth and have a perfectly developed background so they could study human behaviour.
Cade didn’t fall for it, crushed all the Gua and killed Mabus. Then as he and the other three left, Cade said he finally realized why Nostradamus called him the Twice Bless’d man. He was blessed once when his wife saved him from a life of crime. He was saved again when Jordan, Eddie, and Joshua gave him faith to save the world.
So we are left wondering if Cade really was Gua or if Mabus was lying.
