I didn’t label you as a troll - I said your post was. As it was inflammatory and seemed designed to invite a response like mine. I should have expanded my definition to say that, but I did not, so I apologize for looking like I was calling you one. I was not calling you one, and you are not one, IMO. Most people at some point are guilty of making “troll” posts, whether for good or for bad.
I am so unmotivated by either of your arguments; therefore, you both must be trolls. QED.
Interesting. Who was it that I saw at dopefests, then? Were they figments of my imagination? I just had a beer last night (well, I had three, anyway) with spiritus mundi. Are you saying I didn’t know him until that moment? How the hell did we manage such a long, varied, and interesting conversation then?
I find your superficial requirements for “knowing” or “meeting” people to be, well, in disagreement with mine.
Does anybody else find this amusing…
Mr. George started this thread about how the Pit should be gotten rid of four days before the OP on this one.
What about the fact that four days after he started that “End the Pit” thread he posted this one in the pit he was so verbosely condemning?
I know I’m new here, but I found that kind of funny and thought I’d point it out.
The interesting part about Kyomara’s original outburst was that Curious George had not been called a troll but once in this thread, and that was in this sentence from aegypt:
Bolding mine. The troll-insults weren’t flung about until Kyomara stepped into the thread. This thread seemed more like people ragging on an idiot, but not calling him a troll at all.
You know, I’ll be completely honest: To some degree, I hold a sort of twisted pseudo-respect for some trolls. At least, the clever ones. The ones who show that they have some semblance of intelligence beyond posting CG’s drivel. I mean, any old idiot can run around shouting “Bush and Bin Laden are lovers!” (or whatever CG’s idiocy-of-the-day spoutings are). It takes a powerful intellect to REALLY get under someone’s skin.
However, a person may be intelligent and still be an asshole… and, of course, a troll.
