Fix this piece of fucking you shit, you retarded apes

If you stare at the OP and unfocus your eyes, A 3-D image of** jdavis** appears.

I can’t see it - I can never get those damned holographic things to work for me.

At this point, the board going up and down like a whore’s drawers is just funny. Well, funny that I paid $10 for. And I’m not laughing very hard at.
However, I am less lame than anybody who starts a Pit thread on a brief message board outage.
But it wasn’t over one brief outage, and I’m guessing you know that. It’s over almost weekly outages, and daily delays.
I listened to the cleaning lady bitch about the woman upstairs on the 6th floor. The woman upstairs apparently eats peanuts, out of the shell, and dumps the shells on the ground. Then leaves them there.

The cleaning staff is appalled and frankly so am I. Can you imagine what this woman does at home? Can you imagine what her house looks like? Eek.
Her house is probably spotless, because either she pays a cleaning service or because she knows she doesn’t have anyone to clean up after her sorry ass.

I find that kind of behavior appalling - to create a mess for someone else to clean up just because you can.

Strike “a brief” from my post. It still holds true.

This time, the “message board is temporarily offline” pissed me so off, because I had a nice long post typed into the reply window, and when I hit the send button, I got a nearly-blank screen with “The message board is temporarily offline” on it. And hitting the BACK button didn’t help; my post was gone forever.

I’ll forgive the message board this time, but if it happens again, I burning its dog.

Well, then you’re left with a guy complaining on a board he’s paying for about that board’s performance. How exactly is that lame?

I’m honestly curious here, more than trying to pick an argument. I was a regular at several other message boards before finding the SDMB. All of them were free, and none of them ever had delays, let alone crashes (if they did crash, it was a once-a-year aberration). I’m just incredulous that this board can bring in subscriber money on top of its ad money and still not run right. I stick around because I like the content, the moderation and the people, but the board’s performance is a constant pebble in my shoe.

Why is it that every time I see VC03’s handle attached to a Pit thread, I flash back to David Lynch’s old comic strip “The Angriest Dog in the World”?
I guess we just differ. I can’t imagine posting anything even remotely close to what VC03 posted. I know of no commonly accepted definition of “lame” so it’s hard to point to exactly what makes it lame, but yeah, I think it’s lame.
Yeah, let’s flame VC03 over something that can be genuinely irritating and in the process make ourselves feel superior than him. “Look at me! I’m a Doper and I have a life! I’m not as lame as that guy!” Woopty-freaking-doo. Go fuck yourself.
Hush! You’ll stifle the waves of posters who always pop in and declare that they never have any issues with the performance of the board.

We don’t want alienate them.

And why do you think we do that?

I rarely notice performance issues, but this one I did.

Luck of the draw, I reckon. The ones you never notice, I do.

Neener neener

I meant why we pop in to declare it.

Eh, I’ve done the “go off out of frustration over board performance” thing, and found it unsatisfying. I think it boils down to the Reader not really caring about the board (Why should they? They’ve got worse problems right now) and the members of this board not really caring about the Reader (Why should we, unless we live in Chicago?). Doesn’t seem like a very good fit. The only link is Cecil Adams, and he’s fictitious (pardon the blasphemy). I don’t think that there’s all that much incentive for change. Of course, I’m just guessing, because TPTB are more shrouded in secrecy than the Papal Enclave, so there’s really no way of knowing what’s really going on.

Sometimes I wish there would be a mass exodus to a more user-friendly place, instead of this slow, sad attrition.

It’s 2007, shouldn’t everything work all the time?

Fix this piece of fucking you shit, you retarded apes.

That’s how it’s lame. Can’t even string words together to make a sentence. Lame. Oh, and the subject, too.

Maybe YouShit is like YouTube, only all the video is in sepia.

VCO3 is frequently apoplectic when faced with life’s travails. His posting history bears this out, and while I personally find it amusing, I couldn’t begin to defend it to someone who doesn’t.

I still sympathize with the feeling, though. I’m frequently irritated at the board’s performance, and I can’t believe that some people seem to think the only two choices are “shut up and deal with it” or “leave.”

Is this where we all start jumping on VCO3 for insulting apes?

^A, ^C = saved in clipboard. Then post and worry less.

Two keystrokes for insurance. Smells better than burnt dog.

Insulting apes is fine by me, but I take offense once you start in on the retarded ones.
