Suggestion:
Pay attention.
No sarcasm or innuendo; I’m serious. Don’t assume why Ben or Spiritus Mundi thinks something, or doesn’t believe something else.
Ask questions. Politely. You’ll get serious and well-crafted answers in response.
This is a board where virtually anything goes. That’s its virtue, not its vice. If you want to know what a polyamorous bisexual pagan believes is proper moral behavior, there’s one around who will be happy to fill you in. 
But you need to keep an open mind. I sincerely and devoutly believe in Jesus as my Savior and Lord of my life. But I can respect that somebody else here feels that He was made up out of whole cloth based on misinterpretations of stories told back in the First Century. And I’ll argue against that view – but with logic and evidence, and respect for his or her views.
Now stop feeling sorry for yourself, and go read what people have said in your thread. Especially your atheist RL friend. And tell him to come back and post some more in it; his responses were very much on target IMHO.
You’re teddy bear may love and accept you, but we are under no obligation to stroke your fragile ego by providing attention on demand.

I shall not ask where you intend to “take it”, but really, is that all the better you can do? For the love of God, come on… put forth some real effort.
Now, the real question is, how would you like to be flamed? I can just insult you with gratuitous verbose description, such as: “You are the most fucking inhuman sack of fetid cat feces I’ve ever had the unholy mispleasure of setting eyes upon.”
Or, there’s the tried and true use of obcenities: “You motherfucking sack of shit, how fucking dare you show your pathetic ass around here, shithead.”
Then, of course, I could always use flat-out insane rambling to flame you: “You remind me of a dead racoon, but not one run over by a vehicle, as I see no indication of tire treads across your back.”
And finally, I could offer improper advice: “Have you considered a lobotomy? I may improve your dispostion.”
So, you see, there are many options that could be used to flame you. If you would be so kind as to indicate your preference, I shall begin to formulate a flame, custom to your personal needs.

Çyrin, I’m not sure what you’re getting at here, but if you feel that you’ve been treated badly in your GD thread, you need to spend more time at the boards. You’ll have to be considerably more creative if you want to get people excited over you.

I was, however, somewhat curious what the people who had some “choice words” for me in my GD thread would say if there were not regulations on what was appropriate.
At any rate, I could care less what people think of me, but I do find it intriguing sometimes…
So while I’m here, I suppose I should respond to the OP…
Who Çyrin? Why, that pompous jackass! That guy pisses me off! All those limitations of his, they really get in the way of what I want to do! It’s really a shame that I can’t kill him… Oh well!

I don’t know who you are, particularly, but I just went back and read the thread in GD that I think you’re insulting yourself over. I wouldn’t worry about it. First of all, you didn’t really say anything particularly stupid or flamable. You generalized some and used some emotional appeals, but if I had a dollar for every time somebody did something like that… Secondly, even if you had posted something really stupid, that doesn’t make you an irredemable reprobate. I’ve seen dopers I respect post things that are totally idiotic.
Anyway, welcome to the boards, and don’t be so hard on yourself.
