Flat buns

I’m surprised that I could find no mention of this commercial when I searched these boards. Because of all the controversy at work, I was ready to put this in GD.
For me, it’s harmless, and kinda cute. If my kids were still little I’d let them watch and tell them how silly I think it is.
Well, I’m off to Carl’s Jr. I just got this sudden jones for a patty melt.
Peace,

Must be a bit of a worldwide trend going in selling burgers. A lot of folk were up in arms over this Burger King ad here when it aired.

Well, yeah!

Carl’s Jr has often had “controversial” commercials. That one is pretty mild by their usual standards.

I found it more stupid than offensive. Mostly that line “If you’ve got no hiney, I call you your highness.” That sentence just irritates me.

Doesn’t take itself seriously enough for me to waste energy getting all offended about it. Actually, I thought it was kind of funny. Who likes flat buns???

The Burger King Commercial (bikini girls on horses) was just stupid, but then again, the ad wasn’t made for me.

The Paris Hilton one was a little disturbing in how racy it was. I mean, it made me think more about getting off than drive-thru. Kind of distracting, if you ask me. But the ‘‘that’s hot’’ line at the end made me giggle.

I don’t really see grounds for calling any of these offensive. The dumbest one (BK) was no dumber than any other commercials you see on TV nowadays. You guys get to see half-naked chicks riding on horses eating burgers. Advertisements targeting women usually involve talking soap bubbles and vacuum cleaners. Either way, stupid advertising that appeals to the lowest common denominator of human intelligence. At least you guys get to see tits.

What’s stupid about the commercial is the suggestion if you eat flat buns you’re not going to develop the same fat ass from eating those greasy things you’d develop from eating regular buns.

Carl’s Jr. commercials have been pretty stupid historically though. I might, in a moment of weakness, visit them occasionally if they didn’t regularly insult my intelligence. I guess I could thank their commercials for helping me not have a fat ass, as their commercials inspire me to just keep on driving, go home and eat something better for me.

MILD???
You’re a hetrosexual woman, right?

Who cares? It’s a damn commercial.

I haven’t seen it on TV, but I’ve heard the radio commercial. I don’t get offended, as I see it as a takeoff on “Baby Got Back,” a song I found more funny than offensive. There is, however, a bench at the bus stop where I catch my bus home, which exhorts one and all to “Sit your flat buns down.” I think to myself, every time I sit on that bench, “Whoever thought of that obviously has never met me or my fellow rather corpulent bus riders.”

Really? I didn’t get that vibe at all…

I feel dumber for having watched that.

I do. Curves are great but hardly necessary.

Sorry about bringing this back, but I just saw the “flat buns” commercial without Ms Flatbuns!
Conspiracy?
