Flavoured Tuna: Anyone else enjoying these?

About 6 months ago I tried Spicy Thai Tuna; it comes in a much smaller can than regular tuna. I’ve been bringing this at least once a week for lunch ever since. Also on the shelf were Sun Dried Tomato and Basil, some lemony thing, and another one I can’t remember. I haven’t tried those.

Just last weekend I noticed (in the standard-sized cans) Chipotle tuna, and Jalapeno tuna. I just ate a whole can of the Chipotle straight out of the can, interspersed with bites of naan bread.

These new flavours are great!

Don’t like them. I find the quality of the tuna poor, and the seasonings off. It’s easy to stir in my own seasoning, and generally I’d just like a little lemon juice and dill anyway. But if you like them, go for it.

I just buy regular canned tuna and a bottle of sriracha sauce. Plenty of flavor there.

Just noticed your spelling of flavor, perhaps you do not yet know the wonder of the rooster.

The limeys don’t have Sriracha?

Test case on the limey thing, please don’t be offended.

I dunno. I just know that I was a little surprised a couple of years back when I was looking closely at the bottle and noticed that it’s made here in California.

I buy the flavored tuna foil packets for backpacking trips, they’re a great lightweight protein source. I haven’t seen them in cans.

I don’t care for fish, but I found the flavoured tuna I tried (I think it was green curry flavour) preferable to regular tuna.

Canada. I am very familiar with the rooster. Heck, I put some in poutine. (I’m not kidding!)

I love those little tunas - I keep them in stock in the house all the time. They’re the perfect size to make one tuna sandwich.
