We’re havin’ another fest, folks, this time at xploder’s house. He started a thread about it a while back.

It’s Saturday, September 23rd. I’ll be there (I have to be–we live in the same town, and he’d shoot me if I didn’t show). Also in attendance will be the lovely Shadowfox, who’s birthday we’ll be celebrating (and I will be baking the Triple Chocolate Cake O’ Death). I believe KimKatt will be there as well. And Falcon, the SDMB Road Trip Goddess.

When I hosted the last FlintDope, I set up a Hotmail account to communicate with the attendees. It’s still active, so if anyone else is interested in attending, please send me an email, and I’ll get you directions to xploder’s Convention Center, Piercing Parlor and Adult Toy Shoppe! C’mon! It’ll be fun! :smiley:

Doubtful, Falc. My life is going to be pretty insane through the rest of this month.

I’m hoping I will be coming up for air in time for ChiDope in early October.

If I can’t make it, someone please wear a plaid flannel shirt, drink a LaBatt Blue and sing a Stevie Ray song for me.

Persephone, my hubby is going to be attending the party with me. His birthday is the 25th (yes, the day after mine), so we must sing happy birthday to him too because he gets embarassed by things like that. :slight_smile:

Not bad for Michigan. In the 40’s at night and in the 70’s/80’s during the day.

We WILL be having this damn party rain or shine. I rented a party tent (20’ x 30’) for it so we will all stay dry just in case.

Again, please bring a lawn chair if possible. Send Cristi mail for directions if some clarification is needed.

Xploder, you must have forgotten to set up the Altar to the Good Weather Gods because they are forecasting rain for pretty much the entire weekend.

BTW, are there going to be any kids there? I’m probably going to be bringing my two older boys with me and I was curious if there was going to be any kids there who are around their ages (they are 13 and 9).

Yep. My son, 12 in December and probably some of his friends as well as my daughter, 13 in October with possibly one of her friends. Cristi should also be bringing her kids which my daughter will watch.

I got the directions to your house in my e-mail, but I still don’t know what time this party is starting. If you don’t at least give me a hint, you might find me camped out on your front porch the night before :slight_smile:

Also, we’ll be having my stepson & his older sister, who I believe you met here at my house. The boy is 6 (7 in two weeks), and the girl is 10.

You are more than welcome to camp out here the night before, though! If you get here early enough, you can ride to the airport with me & xploder to pick up Falcon! :smiley:

I have to work the night before, so it might be 3 or 4 o’clock in the afternoon before I can get there. Is that okay with you?
