Some personal freedoms are apparently more equal than others.
Some states (IMHO) seem to follow the Constitution more than others.
(… and until they get rid of their tiny Hitler(s), Florida is off of my list of states to visit or buy from. )
I’m sure all the conservatives who have been decrying “cancel culture” will come out to defend him very soon.

The children were wearing masks because their parents told them to, and I was under the impression that parents have the right to make decisions about their children’s health, well-being, and education. (Except apparently when it comes to this, and gender-affirming health care. Republicans have no self-awareness.)
Eh, conservatives have pretty much embraced hypocrisy as an essential part of their daily breakfast, no sense appealing to them.
What I’m waiting to see is the “bothsidism” brigade come out and do their best to twist logic and facts to prove that the Democrats are just as bad, if not worse.
There’s no hypocrisy here.
They want to raise their children according to their beliefs and values.
And they want you to raise your children according to their beliefs and values.
I don’t see any inconsistency there.
I’m curious if the University of South Florida has a bullying policy. And if DeSantis violated it.
What difference would that make?
Following DeSantis’ Wednesday presser, the governor defended his choice to publicly chide the group of teenagers, attacking the “corrupt and biased legacy media” for accusing him of bullying.
“While in Tampa, I told a group of students masks were ridiculous, and they didn’t have to wear them if they didn’t want to,” he wrote in an email. “Predictably, the leftist propagandists in our media had a meltdown and called me a ‘bully’ for allowing children to breathe fresh air.”
In response, Nikki Fried, Florida’s Democratic agriculture commissioner who is also running for governor, said that “Ron doesn’t realize it’s not about the masks, it’s about him being an a**hole.”
Did he even look at the replay? Now he’s gaslighting us.
I think it’s more for shits and giggles than an actual, practical reason. It’s academic.
It’s the Trump tactic, don’t believe what your eyes and ears tell you, only believe me.
He’s trying to grab the MAGA tiger and ride it to the White House, but he only has the raging asshole factor, not charming con man crap that so many fell for. I don’t think he has a chance in a federal election where he has to get people other than the hardcore MAGA asshole base to vote for him. I have a hard time seeing independents going for his schtick.
That twerp has never been charming.

I feel like DeSantis is probably going to lose support among the medical community compared to his last election…
Never underestimate the ability of people with a hefty income to simply believe unequivocally that “high taxes = Democrats = bad; low taxes= Republicans = good” with no additional thought on any other aspects of politics even possible. Plus of course the number who are otherwise captured by the RW BS-o-sphere.
I made my phrasing carefully for just such reasons. I am confident that there will be a nonzero drop, and therefore, my statement is accurate. 
So… Will they re-dub the theme songs for Herman and Catnip and The Flintstones from ‘All the mice are feeling gay’ to ‘All the mice are feeling homosexual, which is evil’ and ‘We’ll have a homosexual-which-is-evil old time’?
