Are there reasons to move to Florida?

My son lives in Florida. He works in a prison, where he’s worked his way up to Sargent. Happily married with children. He is as happy as can be.

I don’t get it, but I’m thrilled he’s happy. Different strokes?

Maybe he’s just putting on a brave face? Maybe he is “working” in the prison but in the laundry room or making license plates and does not want to worry you?
