You know the whole problem with DT/Dibble’s “We’re the only people who know what’s going on” schtick? Everyone else uses it. Everyone.
When DT calls theists deluded and Dibble calls us trusties, they sound exactly like the Aryan bro’s calling us n****-lovers, the WBC calling us hellbound fag-enablers, and the communists calling us lackeys (No joke. I was called a lackey and lickspittle for praising Israel to some 50-year-old communist in the Downtown Crossing station, and when I say “communist”, I mean he tried to sell me a copy of the Maoist Revolution weekly paper. I’m actually sorry I didn’t buy it.).
Listening to the enlightened 0.01% bitching and moaning about being the lone persecuted voice in the wilderness is pretty heady when you’re a college freshman, but by the time you hit your thirties, it gets kind of old watching them prance around screaming about theocracies and police states, and yet somehow never being arrested. Whatever you say just makes them yell louder, and I’ve gradually come to the conclusion that “wilderness” is some sort of inner-sanctum code for “short yellow bus.”

Even though DTand I don’t see eye to eye, I hate to see these threads. Hating on him is, in my opinion, what got him to where he is today. It’s a hard road to take, but sometimes, not saying what you really feel is the best thing to do. He has some pretty fucked up opinions but nothing said here will change that. It will only make him dig in deeper. I don’t want to spew a bunch of bullshit so I’ll just say this. For some people only death will bring peace.

I see where you’re coming from here, Omegaman, and I do believe you’re the better man for it, but I have to disagree.
Whatever happened to Trihs in high school or wherever is not our fault, and in any case, I will match scars with anyone on these boards. I know just how cruel children can be, and I have not yet undergone any experience, even in the army, that matched the brutality I saw in my junior high school years.
Still, I’m an adult now. So is Trihs. No one has held a gun to his head and made him post here, and so he has to answer for whatever he says. It would be a worse insult to treat him like an idiot child and let it go, because this would assume that he is somehow not mentally competent enough to be held responsible. Trihs might be addled, but he’s sane enough to know what he’s posting. He’s as accountable and open to ridicule as you or I.
I know you’re right but still there is a part of me (maybe others can relate a little too) that was the pointy end of the stick that pushed him into the hole where he is.
