Creating a strawman to attack me is both weak and dishonest.

I said I did not respond to his mendacity–that would be the quotes he posted, instead “I did him the courtesy of responding to his actual questions rather than challenging his purported quotes.”
december posted two quotes and several opinions. I ignored the quotes and responded to the opinions with specific actions that december had posted, actually quoting the opinions I addressed and putting them in the context of Bush’s actions.
You will note that, as part of his “joke,” december posted opinions that were not directly derived from the quotes he used. The quotes talk about the “what if” scenario of leaving Hussein “unchecked” (as would happen if we did not send inspectors back into Iraq). december’s opinions acted as if the “what if” were true, and then went on to throw out his red herring regarding what intelligence sources “told” Bush, (a point not covered in the quotes). I noted that Bush had lied about what he had told us and he lied about what intelligence had told him, politely ignoring the misleading quotes to address Bush’s issues.
If responding to december’s actual words is “falling for it,” then I presume that you are calling december a troll.
milroyj, since the best you can do is “me too” a lie, then I will refer you to the above response and note that “you too” are lying.
I am not running around the board bashing december. I avoid nearly all the decemberPit threads and generally respond to the IMHO and Pit threads that he is allowed to start in GD only by addressing issues in those threads, omitting emotional and personal responses to the poster. I only posted here because I was called out by name.
If you can’t address me with honesty in these threads, leave my name out of them.
Except I didn’t “me too” a lie, since Shodan’s post was spot on. I am not defending december’s tactics in that thread, or in GD in general. However, you did fall for it, hook, line, and sinker.
Since my name has been taken in vain in this thread, let me comment:
Lib was saying that I occasionally succumb to the temptation to join a pile-on in responding to december’s latest misrepresentation of the political state of affairs. And he’s entirely correct.
I should, I suppose, consider each point raised by december separately and dispassionately. But, like all people, I tend to see an overall purpose underlying his turning every issue affecting the body politic into a case of “How does this contribute to the purpose of liberals and Democrats to destroy America and American values?” – and to get irritated by his obnoxious assumptions. Which is, I suppose, exactly the way december wants it.
Count me as one of the confused here. Is there some history between you and RedFury, or are you actually taking the stance that his (?) opinion on geo/political issues is unimportant because he is not American? A clarification would be most appreciated.

I don’t know RedFury from Adam, or you for that matter. I do know that the position you took,
is not that he is merely an asshole. That post shows that you discount his opinion solely because he is not an American. Or that is what you had as a position. Now that you’ve been called on it you’ve apparently changed your mind.
