On your work day, do you usually take a shower the morning of the work day or the night before?
(if neither, respond not)
Nothing more than idle curiosity at work here.

You forgot an option for both!
I shower in the morning usually even if I showered the night before because I was at the gym or whatever. I usually wake up with bedhead that resists all corrective measures other than a wash.
Shower in the morning. I usually work out in the morning and shower afterwards.
I will sometimes shower in the evenings and then again in the morning. I ride horses, and sometimes I’m too gross to climb into bed that way. But I’ll still work out in the morning and shower again.
I work at 530 or 630 am, depending on daylight savings time. I shower at 445 or 545 am, depending on the time of year.
I shower at night because then I can stay in as long as I want, no time pressure. But I do have to wash my hair every morning for the same reason as Baracus, though I can do that without a full shower.
No I didn’t.
mmm
But I can only choose one option. So if I’m a woman who showers in the evenings and in the mornings, what do I press?
I shower and shave every morning before work. If I exercise after work I’ll take a quick shower to rinse off before dinner.
I’ve always showered at night, because I love my sleep and am not getting up one second earlier than I have to! Also, a female with long hair + no desire to ever blowdry said hair + love of sleep is never going to get up the two hours + earlier it would take to shower, get said hair to dry, then wrestle with it until it calms down.
Night before is MUCH better, though on occasion, if taken to late, said shower does lead to some awesomely frightful bedhead. Still takes 1/10 of the time to fix that than it does to go through the whole shower routine.
Did I mention I am incapable of taking a shower less than 20 minutes long? Mmmm…long hot showers…
Aside from practical terms (shaving in the shower), I need the damned thing to wake up (as I have always abstained from coffee and in fact can’t risk caffeine ingestion).
I’ve always wanted to be a “shower at night” guy who just gets out of bed the next morning but the hair issue is the biggest thing stopping me. There are some concerns if you shower the night before you may have body odor problems, but the times I’ve tried showering the night before I’ve found that if you just go right to bed and then use deodorant in the morning you have no discernible odor difference versus showering in the morning (at least I didn’t.)
The hair issue is just undeniable though, when I wake up if I try to get my hair presentable without showering I essentially have to get it 100% wet and spend ~10 minutes making myself look like a part of society. I can actually just shower and get out and brush my hair in about the same time it takes me to try and tame bed head without a full shower.
I have ten minutes from the time my alarm goes off to when I need to be out the door. Well, thirteen, but I give myself ten so I’ve got a buffer. So I shower the night before.
I have to shower in the morning. I take my dogs for a long walk every morning before work, so need to shower after the walk, not the night before so I don’t stink up the office. In the summer, when it’s really hot, I shower quickly before bed to cool off a bit so I don’t get into bed all hot and sticky.
I shower in the morning. I feel…greasy…otherwise.
The only exception is when I’m on a scuba diving trip. There, I figure I’ll be in the water soon enough…so I shower after I’m done diving for the day.
I bike or run in the evening several days a week. I shower at night on those occasions, but still shower the next morning, too.

I get horrible bed-head, and tend to get sweaty when I sleep. Always shower in the morning.
I work with nasty chemicals in a lab. No way am I taking that to bed with me.
That said, once upon a time I had long hair, and I totally understand the need to shower after sleep.
I shower shower in the morning but I take a quick dip in when I get home since I walk to work so I tend to get a tad sweaty and gritty.
I shower in the morning, but sometimes I also shower in the evening in the summer months, if it gets hot. My wife always showers twice a day. When we first got married, many years ago now, I was amazed by how many towels she would go through in a day. Then we had kids and I just accepted that half of my paycheck was going to be spent on new towels. And now I have a teenage daughter…
Most of the time I shower at night. I don’t like drying my hair with a hair dryer and having to get in the shower first thing just wrecks my day. The only time I fail to take a shower at night is if I am completely wiped out.
