That was so weird. How often does town actually manage to kill scum on day 1?
If there is a cop in this game, it would make the most sense for them to check out Red Skeezix and, to a lesser extent, tiltawhirl. But if Red is scum, then there has been some serious awkward scum play this game.
tilt is looking way suspicious for not voting, despite the actual words she used to justify it.
Red might or might not be scum, but if he is, he should be smacking Omi (sorry Omi!) upside the head for that awkward vote justification, because without it I’m all but positive Red could have wiggled out of the danger. This way, it stands out so much it could risk losing them both.
I think it’s just as possible that both Chip and Red are town, though – Red has a bit of a history of being seen as suspicious even when he’s not. Chip likely is (town). Drain almost certainly is (unless SK or whatever), because that catch-out was just way too fast to hold water as a bus attempt barring some rather weird circumstances, and she should be protected tonight.
I’m a little surprised Omi was actually scum, despite that I probably would have voted that way myself once I shook off the usual “drainbead scummy aura” and actually thought about it. I totally shouldn’t be – it’s such a classic scum tell to say “X is SO scummy, but I’m voting for Y”, and I’ve caught several scum with it myself – but something in the situation threw me off.
Nice one town. Despite frequent protests to the contrary, it is entirely possible to lynch scum on day 1. Gives town some real data to work with toMorrow, that’s one useful voting record.

I’m now suspicious of both Chipicabra and the people who were voting for him, on the reasoning that scum should have tried to save Omi by piling onto the Chip wagon, unless (a) the Chip wagon was already full of scum or (b) Chip himself is scum. However, I think the likeliest explanation for this turn of events is just bad scum play; the scum may have been overrepresented within that large group of players who don’t seem to have been paying much attention.
As an aside, I actually would have voted for scum had I been playing?! Wow, maybe I don’t suck anymore.
I’m betting that it was already full of scum, as omi could have just as easily take the other side of that dispute back before s/he got into trouble.
There’s also Zeriel’s cherry on top vote against omi. Worth filing that away for later. Zeriel couldn’t have saved omi, so that may have been an effort to buy some town cred.
Possibly, but when Zeriel voted, Omi led Chip only 5-3 with almost twohours left to vote and lots of nonvoters still out there. Seems like a pretty defeatist scum play to make it 6-3 rather than 5-4 at that juncture (assuming Chip is Town, that is).
Enough to put Zeriel on the naughty list, though.

Drain, I’d have killed you myself (wanted to play mafia, figured using the AK might influence that) except I figured the mafia would get there first. Was just too obvious you were non-mafia. I’m rather shocked you weren’t protected (unless you were the protector? kinda skimmed) – somebody’s sleeping on the job.
Yeah, I was trying to figure out a way to hint “protect me” that wouldn’t have gotten Mahaloth on my ass. I considered creating a drink called Gimme Shelter. But I figured if the Doc didn’t catch it and the Scum did, I was fucked.
