No, he likes sitting in a big truck wishing he could drive one.
Kind of like Marie Antoinette and her sterling milk pail.

One can probably easily guess which one he think he is.

Thanks for this. I’m a big fan of her work, her books are very informative and hilarious at the same time. I’ve actually treated patients who were suffering from this, way back when I was a resident in clinical work. It’s a form of affective psychosis, kind of the ultimate nihilistic (depressive) delusion and it really, really sucks. People can actually see and smell themselves rotting away. Plus it can be difficult to get consent for treatment, because they believe it will be useless, give that they’re already dead. ECT usually works, though. The diminished brain activity reported in an earlier post is interesting, however what usually fails to become clear is whether that phenomenon is what causes the syndrome or is just the expression of the ailment, like decreased hippocampal volume in major depression and psychosis.
As of this month, a 3rd trial has been ordered.
The first trial resulted in a conviction, which was ultimately set aside by the Supreme Court of Canada on the basis that the trial judge misinstructed the jury.
They were acquitted at the second trial, but Canadian law allows for a Crown appeal on errors of law. As outlierrn mentions, the Court of Appeal allowed the Crown appeal earlier this month and sent it back for re-trial, on the basis of reasonable apprehension of bias by the trial judge. Haven’t heard if they will try to appeal to the Supreme Court a second time.

Thanks for the update.
Seems about right. And the end of his career as pharmacist, presumably.
Or a gig as Surgeon General in the 2025 Pompeo administration…
Now you’re just trying to jinx the world.
Where, a prison government? LOL
It wouldn’t be entirely surprising if he eventually made a living appearing at antivax events, writing a book about his martyrdom (Skyhorse Publishing is the go-to outfit for this sort of thing), etc.
I’m still not sure how antivaxers trying to break up vaccination clinics or destroying vaccines squares with the classic antivaxer ideology which says that they don’t care if others get vaccinated as long as they are not “coerced” into doing so.
I think it’s similar to other mentalities in which ‘anyone should be allowed to do anything they want, as long as I agree with it’.
Think about how many people (or certain groups of people) talk about Freedom of Speech/Expression until they’re blue in the face to defend what they’re doing, but the moment someone does something they don’t agree with they suddenly forget that those amendments work both ways.
Because as we’ve seen from another thread, the vaccine turns people into magnets:
Holy mother of pearl.
The idea of the COVID vaccine is a magnet for bringing tinfoil hatters out of the woodwork.
Never underestimate the crazy…
How would we screen for them? The truth is that kooky ideas don’t usually interfere with someone’s ability to perform their job duties.
We’ve lost two employees (in our team of 14-20) who were previously designated Hi-Per-Hi-Po (High Performance, High Potential) but were first taken off that list and then they left the company. I don’t know if they were pushed or jumped.
But it wasn’t their beliefs, they felt it necessary to actually dispute on work Teams chat our company position on DEI, MeToo, BHM, vaccines and PRIDE. Up to an including making fun of the CEO/COO’s statements. Then getting all pissy about their Freedom of Speech being violated.
There are several others who did some of these things who are still around. But the ones who just wouldn’t be counseled are out. One of them decided to challenge our company’s statement on APIHM LinkedIn. Actually quite a few employees did that but most were low level ones and no one really cares (we have hundreds of thousands of employees). But a mid-management person in Corporate just cannot do that.
