Correct.
This week has completely slipped away from me. I didn’t watch any practice, now qualifying is tomorrow and a HUGE football day to boot. I should get to bed early.
Nah.
Practice 1 had a handful of young driver tests, including Indycar guy pat o’ward. Relatively uneventful. I fell asleep during P2.
Well, I’ve got it on DVR, so if I can’t sleep…
It was nice to see Ferrari scrape their way back to second despite a season of errors.
Yet again, max is a dick.
"Finished 1.3 seconds behind the Ferrari. Verstappen said the team never asked him to slow down and delay Leclerc to assist Perez in his pursuit.
“That is quite a tricky call to make,” he said. “You also don’t want to end up… of course you can possibly block. But I mean, is that fair racing? I think it’s not the nicest way going out of the season like that.”"
Yeah, like Checo did for you last year? Prick.
I give it till the second week of January till I start having withdrawal symptoms. Thank God they keep adding more races!
Agree nice to see Ferrari get a strategy call right for once. But who the fuck cares who came in second in a World Championship??? Like the saying, ‘Second is the First Loser’.
Looks like Vettel has mellowed a bit - I still find it hard to forgive him for some of his over-aggressive (crossing the line into downright dangerous) driving a few years ago, but overall he deserves a place in the top 10 drivers ever. I don’t normally like to comment on people’s appearance, but he could do worse than spending his retirement finding a different hairstyle, ASAP.
Hamilton’s first ever season without a win - shame, it would have been a unique career achievement had he retired with at least one win in every season.
Hopefully Red Bull won’t be so dominant next season.
Yeah, Seb was really rockin’ the ‘Dirty Homeless Guy’ look.
I’d be perfectly happy if Ferrari was that dominant next season.
Ok, this is 2023, and only slightly F1 related. But I didn’t feel like making a new thread.
Max ragequits the virtual LeMans after leading it because he was butthurt over issues with disconnections. The top prize is is $125,000, which I’m sure means nothing to him. But he leaves his teammates high and dry, who could probably use any prize money, even if it’s not the top prize.
Issues with disconnections is three words doing a LOT of work in that sentence. Getting disconnected and then shafted when the race host has admitted they were having connection issues through every race this season is usually rage-inspiring. And it’s not like they were going to compete for money or points by that time.
I dislike Max, but this is a nothingburger.
I follow F1 and IndyCar, but not the LeMans championship, so can someone please explain this disconnecetion business?
It’s not even the real LeMans. It’s a virtual sim race. But it’s for real money.
Ah, I see.
