As did I.
Life is hell!

Ain’t it though!

Sari go ahead and log in. Irk might be a little more fun buzzed.

Spring is definitely gonna happen folks! I know because I just saw my porch lizards! If it’s gettin’ warm enough for them to show up then Spring is upon us! Welcome back Liz and Ard!

Home, fed, and exhausted. We did a bunch of chores for my mom and now we’re home. Yay. Higgs still hates riding in the car.

I’ve definitely got a cold, so I’ll be going to bed with Nyquil - probably early again. Yesterday, I went back at 8 and I’m pretty sure I was unconscious by 8:30. Hoping I can do the same tonight.

We had talked about going to a dog show tomorrow, but it ain’t gonna happen. I’m gonna veg. Period. This stoopit cold better go away fast!! I mean it!!

That’s all I’ve got. I’s tahred and snuffly… :frowning:

swampbear, you just HAVE to visit Kansas someday. I could even take you to deheathenization with me, since we are both Whiskeypalians.

I promise I wouldn’t let the dog eat you, or the cat shed on you too much. There are a few good places to eat here, and some fun things to see.

DeathMistress yes I do. I just posted a message on our St. Patrick’s Albany facebook page. I reminded everyone to set their clocks one hour ahead tonight. I also reminded 'em that tomorrow is the first Sunday in Lent which means The Great Litany. We shall be penitent and sleepy!

MOOOOOOM feel better soonest! Soft Kitty. Warm Kitty. Little ball of fur. Happy Kitty. Sleepy Kitty. Purr. Purr. Purr.

ETA: Even better Sheldon sings Soft Kitty to Penny.

**swampy **- thanks for the song, but what I really need is a new nose!

Nighty-night, all!!

I worked. OI reset the bunion planogram. I came home ,and fell asleep on the floor for 3 hours. Watching bad hockey.

Bummer about needing parts, Nettie

: crosses fingers for sari and rosie on the house hunting :

I set all the clocks that need to be manually set ahead one hour. Fun! It’s like I’m livin’ in two time zones!

Cue my semi-annual “standard, daylight, split the difference, pick something else altogether, I don’t care, just pick something and STICK WITH IT!!!” rant. I don’t care about how clocks are set, since that’s arbitrary anyway, I just think the twice-a-year reset hassle is stupid.

As for the parts, we did order what we think/hope are the right ones, arranging to ship to the shop. With any luck, by about Wednesday, I get MY car back and can hand the rental back in. I’m not fond of the rental.

Remember, friends, Fall Forward, Spring Back!

A friend of mine and Mrs. Plant (v.3.0), Eddie, was the security guard at the library where we worked.
We worked Sundays so we could be off on a week day to…study.
On the Time Change Sunday, Eddie would check his watch, 12:45, set the clock in the Circulation Department to 12:45, and go through the large building, setting every clock to 12:45.
:dubious:

I’m home and very blah. I guess I should go to bed.

I am up & vertical, getting ready to go out at this un-Ogly hour; however the brain is still zzzzing away.
(no [del]smart[/del] dumb comments from the plantlife, please)

Up, caffeinated, off to work. All my clocks auto-update(Gordie, not so much):stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Sunday!

I’m up too early and I’m sure I am going to crash soon.

It’s cloudy and breezy outside, supposed to get up to 40, so that will be nice. Today will be a lot of irk to make up for taking off Thursday and part of yesterday.

Up and after 4 cups of coffee I think I’ll go back to bed. Trying to get ready to adjust to the time change. Hate it and it’s stupid.

House guest just left so back to abnormal. For us. Kitchen faucet broke so hubby will install the new one today. Who knew a faucet cost $200?

Irk tomorrow. Busy time of the year what with spring break and all. I will have to deal with the public again this week. I don’t much like the public. It all pays the same.

In other news we just had another earthquake.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 48 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 74 and sunny for the day. Nice! It is just beginnin’ to get daylight out at 7:39 A.M. I don’t like that.

This is the first Sunday in Lent, so by tradition we do The Great Litany AKA The Great Monotony. Here’s a link to The Book of Common Prayer for the curious amongst us. Clink on the link for The Great Litany. Seriously. Just how many times do we need to say “We beseech the to hear us, Good Lord!” I have added my own words… “And the Good Lord says, alright, enough already! I hear ya!”

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, purtification for deheathenization must commence. I hear OYKW stirrin’ so I guess brekkie makin’ should commence as well.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

ETA: Butters yikes! Hope y’all didn’t shake, rattle, and roll too much.

This is the third earthquake here in the last few months. I thought the cat had jumped on the bed and was scratching at first. The site I went to says it was a 5.1 on the Richter scale and near Cuba.

I guess when you have breakfast at 5ish, 'tato chips (well, pringles) before 8am doesn’t seem so unreasonable, does it?

I do hope everyone remembered, “Fall Forward, Spring Back”.

my cable box, 'puter, and iPad all do the time switch thing automatically. I only had to reset my watch. My alarm clock has been blinking 12:00 for a while. I’ll worry about it when/if I get a job.
I made a thing:

1 jar marinated artichoke hearts
1 jar marinated mushrooms
1 small can chick peas
1 jar kalamata olives (get the pitted ones if you can)
1 package pre-cooked grilled chicken strips
1 package, thawed, [frozen] chopped spinach
1 package shredded mozzarella cheese

Pour everything, liquids and all, into a big bowl, cover and let sit, in the fridge, for a few hours.
I’ll let you know how it turns out, but what could be bad?
