The Jackson forms must be from people who were nasty.
Home, fed, and chilling after a long day. After work, I went to the gym, then to the liquor store for some Fireball Whiskey for FCD, then to Food Lion for miscellany and a rotissed chickie for supper. I also got a whomp tube of crescent rolls, some brussels sprouts for my sweetie and green beans for me. Supper was ready fast and ingested even faster.
After I read my comics and check out my regular sites, I’ll start to make something else out of yarn - not sure what - maybe some scarves to use up miscellaneous yarn. Or squares to make a patchwork afghan. Something theraputic.
**doggio **- I think that qualifies as a rude awakening - ugh!
**rosie **- moving down the hall would certainly be an easy option. Hope you can work something out soonest!
Oh yeah, and Missy Prissy is an idiot! Today I finally got access to the network files for the project I’m working. One would think it would be organized according to system name or project number or drafting request number, right? Wrong - it’s by first name of the person who requested the drafting. Seriously. With many many subfolders full of duplicated files that will require me to check all of them to ensure I get the latest and greatest.
MY directory will be greatly simplified - folders designated by project each containing one folder for all 3D models & one for the drawings. I’ll also create a folder for hardware items. I think it’ll be pretty straightforward - if you want a 3D part, open one folder. If you need to see detail drawings, open the other folder. Probably should include a folder for technical documentation, just in case.
The worst part is that I’m working on a company computer, but the directory is on a Navy computer. We’re not allowed to use thumb drives, so I’ve got to email my drawing from one network to the other in order to store them. And vice-versa to retrieve them. Good thing I love my job!
Hey, **BBBobbio **- I saw a job announcement from your employer looking for a drafter. No mention of what it pays, tho, and I think it was contingent on award of contract. It’d be a lot shorter drive for me, but I don’t know if I’ll bother to apply. How could I work with you bothering me all day, coming to bask in the greatness that is me!
Happy Wednesday! C’mon Firday!!
Rosie, what are the options of moving down the hall?
Is that apartment larger or smaller? I thought you were in a duplex or townhouse.
the apartment is a little bigger and a little more per month, but is also 1 BR 1.5 bath
And the present one has more BR and bath?
no same 1 BR 1.5 bath, but the SQ FT-age down the hall is greater - it’s a corner unit and has more windows
Mooooooooom, you’d be up in my office all the time cruising for hugs.
Howdy Y’all! The Ash Wednesday service over to the church house was a really wonderful service. YP preached a great sermon and the combined Luterun/Whiskypalian choir performed an anthem that for real sent chills up and down my spine, it was so beautiful. I was a combo Lector/ush tonight. We gave out of service leaflets and I had to hie myself down to the church office to make a few extra copies just before the service began. Even those got gone because of a few latecomers. I was forced to actually open a Prayer Book to follow the service. Imagine!
Spaz HEE! Good one!
rosie more windows sounds like sump’n Smokey would like. After all it’s all about her right?
I think I shall now betake myself to bed. I’s tahrd!
ETA: I bet MOOOOOOM and BBBobbio would be in each others cubes/offices discussin’ the awesomeness of all us Mumpers if’n they irked together.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
Yeah, BBBobbio, you got me.
Beddy-bye time!
As Swampy pointed out, more channels of Cat TV.
=)
Are you throwing necklace beads…or anklets???
Killer workout tonight, good (random) selection of music on the mp3 but I left the water bottle sitting on car seat. :smack:
I really want a beer but am too dehydrated as it is.
Should I eat or just go to sleep?
ETA : Oh shit, someone’s playing roast their house tonight (all the woop-de-woo’s are going by), about two doors down from where a friends went up about 1-1½ years ago. I’m not moving over there.
O Knowledgeable Ursine One, you are probably the most qualified person I’m acquainted with to solve a question that came up in conversation with DH. Is there a significant difference between Episcopalian and Anglican, or is it just that “Episcopalian” is USian for “Anglican”?
Rosie, my theory is more windows less depression. Maybe that’s just me.
Tomorrow I officially, officially start my job for the rest of the school year. No turning back now. And btw I finally heard back about that job which is quite far away and they want me to come out for an interview in a couple of weeks. From what I can tell, the job sounds great but I am conflicted about the distance away from my family. Of course it’s not like I’ve been offered anything yet so I guess I will just wait and see.
My bad news for the night is that RT will not be home this weekend. Which means it will be another two weeks before I see him. We are both bummed.
I killed the MMP!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 45 Amurrkin out and rainy. This is also the high for the day as the temp will drop to 40 Amurrkin with rain. Lots of rain. Cold and rain. ICK!
Nettie I could go on and on about Anglican/Episcopal relationships but I won’t. In a nutshell, the ECUSA is a member of the Worldwide Anglican Communion. However, the ECUSA broke with the Church of England durin’ the Revolutionary War. The Episcopal Church was the first break off of the CofE. The big problem was the idea of swearin’ allegiance to the King of England. Needless to say bein’ as an entire war against England had been fought for independence, that just would not work. Thus, the First Bishop of the ECUSA was ordained by Scottish Episcopal (a part of the CofE but separate. Scotland be weird.) Bishops. Later more Bishops were ordained by the same Scottish Bishops. Eventually, swearing allegiance to the King (or Queen) of England was removed and as the Anglican church spread, it was not a problem to be ordained by English Bishops. We hold to Apostolic Succession which means, basically, the succession of Bishops can be traced back to the original Holy Twelve. So, the ECUSA is part of the Anglican Communion, but the Archbishop of Cantebury (the head of the CofE) is not seen as the head of the ECUSA. We elect a Presiding Bishop at General Convention (which meets every three years) and he/she (right now we have our first female Presiding Bishop which caused a fair amount of Anglican churches in other countries to get their shorts all in a knot) serves typically for nine years (three-three year periods). This has probably cleared up nuttin’ for DH and you. Mayhaps DeathMistress, our other resident Epicsopal Mumper, will weigh in as well.
Well, that was rambly!
StickyBuns sorry you won’t get to see RT this weekend. Good luck on the new gig. If you are goin’ after that job way far away appropriate/inappropriate appendages will be crossed.
Ok, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, purtification for irk must commence. Hate gettin’ out in icky, rainy weather!
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Blurf.
I don wanna be an adult anymore.
Blurf!
My mouth feels like the camel’s parade grounds. After they were done marching!
(& I didn’t even get to drink last night. :()
When did you become one?
- I’m regretting it more every day.
Morning all.
Nothing much going on here. Nothing at all.
Nope keep moving. Nothing to see here.
Honest.
