I’ve only caught this show on youtube, but it’s awesome! I can’t find a clip for the “I love cereal” part, but it consistently makes me laugh. I found it when we started seeing those “I pooted” billboards all over.
I love this show. I can’t remember what it was called, but I love the episode with the puppies. Eduardo and Madame Foster are my favorite characters. The camping episode last night was great.
In the 90-minute pilot, one of the imaginary friends is Mojo Jojo- or at least a copy of him. Mr. Harriman points out that some people are unimaginative and make up friends based on TV characters. And Frankie always wears a Powerpuff Girls T-shirt. (Indeed, Foster’s creator, Craig McCracken, created the Powerpuff Girls, although he worked on Dexter’s as well, which is why the two shows often reference each other.)
I love this show, too. Nice to see a thread on it- especially after last night’s episode (which I think was a repeat, but I hadn’t seen before)- Mr. Harriman gets a new security system for the house to keep Cheese out. When he locks everyone out of the house, he ends up needing Cheese’s help, as Cheese keeps singing the code. Very funny. My three other favorite episodes are “World Wide Wabbit” (where Mac gets embarrassing footage of Mr. Harriman which suddenly becomes the Internet’s newest fad- I think that one won an Emmy), “One False Movie” (where Bloo takes over Mac’s project and makes an elaborate dramatic film starring Wilt, Tom Hanks- in a cameo in which he has a bucket over his head- and, thanks to Eduardo, an ending in which Lauren is Explorin’ talks about flatulence), and “The Sweet Stench of Success” (where Bloo learns the hardships of show business after becoming the spokesman for Deo Deodorant).
As for my favorite character? Coco. Co coco cocococo co cocococo co cococo co cococococo co co co coco coco co!
While I’m typing this, I’m staring at the Foster’s figurines I ordered from Cartoon Network that share my desk space with Homestar Runner and Strong Bad. I’m smiling. Really big. There’s just something about them. And now I’m humming Jim Venable’s catchy theme…
When I saw the pilot, I couldn’t help but think, “It’s kind of neat, but I can’t see how it’ll work as a series.” Glad I was wrong about that. A friend of mine and I went to see a movie some time back, and there was a slide for Cartoon Network before the film featuring Cheese, and I couldn’t help yelling out in my best Cheese voice, “Cheese!” and “I like chocolate milk!” My friend, who doesn’t get cartoons for the most part, was utterly mortified.
At the beginning of the summer, it seemed we could only catch like 4 episodes played over and over. I love the show though, and am looking forward to cable coming back into my place, if only so I can see if Cheese makes my wife crack up.
She completely lost it while we were driving through Pittsburgh and saw the gigantic “I pooted.” poster.
I <B the show, and agree that Frankie is hawt, in that odd cartoony way.
My favorite episodes are the one where Bloo & friends have a sleepover at Mac’s apartment but Mac wasn’t informed, and the one with the squeaky toy that everyone fights over.
And Eduardo is great, but he gets on my nerves being scared of absolutely everything. Bloo & Coco are my favs.
