You know, I’m glad that a topic such as suicide doesn’t weigh heavily on your mind until we point out the idoicy of the drool you have posted. Some of us do take it seriously and take what you have said to be very insulting.

Eternal, you would be wise to swallow whatever is left of your pride and just say something like “I’m sorry I’m too stupid to take my foot out of my mouth. I’m going to go back to lurking for a while. And especially to norinew and those I particularly offended in the other thread, I’m sorry. I didn’t know it was possible to be such an asshole, but evidently I’ve proven that to be the case.”
Note I say “like” that. I think everyone in this thread would prefer that you show you aren’t just a Turing test gone wrong.

I think he should apologize for what he said in the other thread, by apologize, I mean, he should actually mean it. If he doesn’t mean it, then fuck him. I hope he learns without having to have someone he cares about attempt suicide.

As for my apology, I meant it as much as anything I’ve ever said. Of course, I know how most of you are going to take this statment.
If it is offensive, then yes. Being in the pit doesn’t exclude one from maintaining some sense of what it is okay to do. It is okay to flame in the pit; it is not okay to be a jerk. As such, I believe above all norinew deserves an apology for the (incorrect and) utterly asinine comment Eternal made in her thread and the “clarification” he so gallantly offered here. It is my personal opinion that everyone who had to read that post of his in norinew’s thread, and/or any post of his in this thread, is owed an apology for the sheer jerkiness of his behavior/posts. However, I do recognize that my personal feelings may be interjecting here a bit more than is called for.
I would prefer that he understand both why his words were harmful and that he be sorry and learn from this. But it would seem that the very issue of life and death are naught but a joke to him.
I would expound on this subject in more depth, but the person I had hoped would learn the most from this seems to derive more meaning from shitting where he is already sitting, and I for one have long since tired of the smell.
I see. I agree with you on all of your points. I doubt any information will sink in though. It could be just me, but I think that Eternal is letting his ego stand in his way to critical thinking.
