I think someone had already posted that the shooter was shot and presumed dead, back on page two or three of the thread.
However had the accused made it across to Canada, the system generally says we dont extradite folks who are facing the death penalty, um, in reality Canadian cops are no different from their American cousins.

Because I’m seeing a lot of people attacking a poster with some moderately outspoken (but not necessarily unrealistic) views as if he was a member of the SS Welpen-Tötung Korps, and frankly I just don’t see anything Argent has said as being worthy of the vitriol currently being directed at him.
It might be as simple as being too soon after 4 cops were shot dead, folks’s bullshit meters tend to get overloaded.

That’s probably it. The shooting of these police officers is a horrible tragedy and I don’t think anyone in this thread (even Argent) feels or thinks otherwise. But that doesn’t change the fact that there will be people out there (oppressed, downtrodden folk) who mistakenly feel that the shooter is somehow “Stickin’ it to the man”.
Now, the rest of us understand that there are four parents without a child, children without a parent, siblings missing a brother or sister, and spouses without a partner as a result of this outrage. But I don’t think it’s insensitive or even incorrect for Argent to mention (in what is basically an RO thread, let’s be honest here) that not everyone necessarily is saddened by that.
Id say that the timing makes it insensitive, had it been a week from now , folks may have been able to simply ignore his posts instead of firing back at him.
I remember back when that airliner ditched in the hudson river in New York (thankgod everyone made it out ok.) I was humorously mentioning the fact that the Navy guys were probably making digs at the airforce for missing a carrier landing( navy carrier parked upriver as a museum)
So of course I get called on that by the airboys, and rightfully so.
Had that airplane been a tradgedy, there was no way I would have brought that up.

As for the suspect, I hope that he is caught without anymore people being hurt including other police officers and if possible the suspect, who is probably mentally ill.
Breaking news is that police have fatally shot him. I hope it was because the suspect forced them to, and not because of what some of you have been hoping for. But I guess that won’t stop some of you from jerking off at the thought.
