New England Boiled Dinner is the same thing as Pot Roast but made with Corned Beef or Brisket instead of Chuck or Rump roast. From Joy of Cooking:

My mom made it for us, and I guess she picked up the recipe when we lived in New Haven. You will like it. Or you’re MAD, MAD I tell you!

I was afraid it was going to be seafoody, and then I wouldn’t be able to hang out very long. The smell of seafood cooking doesn’t agree with me.

I’m tentatively marking this on the joint tdc-moi calendar, but much depends on our living situation (we’re still not back in our apartment…arrrgh!). I don’t expect a party thrown for me, but I would like some sort of “honorable mention” for braving this party, since the last Doper shindig I attended ended with my housefire.
