Fox and the Family Channel

How (or perhaps why) did Fox Broadcasting become affiliated with the CHristian Briadcasting Network?

This question is almost as good as the one posed by an article in the NY Times this week about how major telecoms and hotel chains are making beaucoup bucks on hardcore porn broadcast over satellite dishes and on hotel PPV. When the parent companies (AT&T, Marriott, etc.) are asked about it, they say “no comment” faster than Dubya leaving a crackhouse.

The real irony is that the article proved two things: Marriott is making a buttload off this, despite having devout Mormons at the head of the company. And, that Salt Lake City, Utah has an above-average rate of expenditures for broadcast porn.

(I can track down a link to this article at the Times web site on Friday morning.)

Christian Broadcasting Network, AKA The Family Channel, AKA FAM.

Typos, wow.

What really bothers me is the pseudo news program. They introduced a new correspondent in Jersualem (Hey, this is cool!) and suddenly the anchor was mumbling something about “These are the Last Days”. Blech.
