So was reporting the death of astronaut Neil Young.

If he weren’t a yellow-dog conservative, he’d take me up on my offer.
Oh, the sting.
Now if they’d said “one of the jihadists who killed Bin Laden” - now them’s fightin’ words.
Maybe. Or perhaps he has no interest in arguing with you.
So what?

Say what?

I also wouldn’t be all that surprised if he wanted his name leaked, and the pseudonym and reveal was a marketing ploy to gin up publicity. Mission accomplished!
Well, as noted, there are checks to be cashed in all of this. So, that has to be considered. Unless all proceeds are dedicated to veteran’s rehab, or some such. Still can’t find anything to confirm/refute a connection between this book and the “Obama is a total wussy” meme going around.
I kinda like John Mace being around. He reminds me that you don’t HAVE to be batshit crazy to be conservative, its just very common.
Your offer was stupid. It assumes that there are equal numbers of conservatives and liberal posting stupid stuff on this MB. And it also assumes that I need to bother about one vs the other. If a conservative posts something stupid here, he’ll be piled on by a dozen liberals in a few minutes pointing out the stupidity. But liberals can post stupid shit here and the other liberals will lap it up without checking. Happens quite a bit. Not all the time, because there are thoughtful liberals, but still quite a bit.
So, no, I don’t expend as much effort rooting out what I consider to be conservative idiocy on this MB as I do with what I consider liberal idiocy. It’s not necessary.
And just to be clear, I don’t consider this particular issue to be “idiocy”. I think it’s something people with different points of views might disagree on. Me, I think it was inevitable that this guy would be outed. It was naive beyond imagination if he thought otherwise. Fox took him up on the challenge. Had they not done it, someone else would have.
Maybe the article was written by Randy Jackson.
They were behind the Defense Department, at least. Once the DoD confirmed it, there wasn’t much point in secrecy.
I’m still trying to understand this subplot. Do we need to provide a cite that secrets are no longer secrets when they’re not secret anymore? :smack: John, can you provide a little hint to go with the Socratic wisdom of your “So what?”
Or is the argument that FoxNews was doing a public service? Since the baby killers running the liberal media would never hesitate to undermine the U.S., FoxNews had to act fast to ensure profits from the news scoop would go into the coffers of pro-American shareholders?
