Likely of interest only to big-dish owners:
For several years now, I haven’t been able to “get” Fox. A law had been passed that disallowed buying access if you could receive the channel by antenna, unless you had a waiver from the station. I have an antenna. But couldn’t get Fox.
Fox would not grant me a waiver (thank you, CBS, who did)… I argued, saying that if I could get the station for free, why would I want to pay?
Eventually gave up.
Well, as of yesterday, when my son was trying to find a way around this so that we could watch the Eagles game, he came upon a notice that read “New legislation…”
So I called Turner and learned that, sure, I could get Fox now, for $30/year.
Go, Simpsons! I’m so happy.
