So I was watching Foxs’ new summer reality series called “Paradise Hotel”, its basically Love Cruise (6 girls 6 guys, partying, sex, hooking up and voting out etc) except at a hotel and there is some weird thing where members of the studio audience over the weeks have a chance to get on the show. So I guess tonite was the premier.
Anyhow, one of the guests/contestants was ON ANOTHER FOX reality show – Love Cruise. Its that girl “Toni”.
First off, how could they not pick that up? Secondly, why would they want someone people are going to recognize? Don’t they want fresh faces? And let me tell you, I don’t know how they cast this thing for “hot young singles” only a couple of them are even close to being attractive. Its like they gathered up all the actors from General Casting and tossed them on a show.
Anyhow, in short – Same girl, two different reality shows.
Well, recycling contestants has worked well for ABC with The Bachelor.
I don’t think the contestant pool is that deep. Especially for multi-week dating shows that only choose “attractive” people who live in the LA area. It’s pretty much just out-of-work actors, since real people have jobs.
I noticed that, too. She was a particularly scary reality show contestant and that’s probably why Fox chose her for this show. (Remember when she was yelling at someone and her eyeballs nearly popped out of their sockets? Yikes!)
Plus, this show seems to be very similar to Love Cruise and judging by her “performance” on that show, they probably thought she would be great for this one. Generally, I don’t like to see recycled contestants, but in her case, I’ll make an exception. She’s fun to watch!
About the attractiveness of the singles, I’ll say this. I think the snotty one that had to sleep alone is very cute, but the rest of them are sort of average. Some of the guys may be what some people would call attractive, but I can’t get past their disgusting personalities to notice. That one guy who said he “could do better” right in front of the (only) girl that picked him is beyond repugnant. I despise him.
Sigh, another guilty pleasure. The drama is so cheesy.
