This is getting really weird for me. Here in Philadelphia a guy killed his wife and nobody could find her, after a few weeks he killed himself and the investigation grounded to a halt. Last week the cops got a tip and found the body, she was buried in the basement of a house that the husband was doing construction in. Horrible story, but the weird thing is that now I know 2 people who have lived in that house, what are the friggin chances of that?
So there’s this vaguely famous murder story, vaguely famous 'cause I always see it on forensic crime shows, where a husband killed his wife and said that they had a fight and she left him. And here’s the kicker–the man drove a refrigerated truck all over New England and Canada as part of his job–and he buried his wife in the basement of their house! What the hell!? He could have easily disposed of her body hundreds of miles from where he lived, probably so it could never be found until years and years later, and never be traced back to him, but he’s thinking, “I know! The basement! They’ll never find it there!” What an idiot . I mean, he’s a bastard for killing his wife, but the basement? What was he thinking?
