Free Fax Via Email? Suggestions?

It is not often, but for instance today I would like to send a fax to a company that requires this signed document be faxed to them. I figure I could scan the document and turn it into a .pdf file and then send it that way?

Does anyone have any experience with a reliable, truly free, fax service that will not put an ad on the cover page, etc.?

Is there such a service? Will it work if I sign the document, scan it and download into Photoshop as a .pdf and then fax it like that?

What a coincidence, I just had to send a fax today. I used FaxZero. Also, if I have to make PDFs, I use PDFill.

p.s. There is an ad on the cover page for FaxZero. But it is not ugly.

You can just sign it and email it for free, faxes cost a bit.

Don’t forget that, if you computer still has a modem, you can use that to send a fax, and it will only cost whatever it costs to make the phone call. Just google how to send a fax from your operating system.

Thanks for the suggestions!
As I also had to send a FedEx yesterday, I went to a local shipping store and faxed the document from there. I won’t do that again - $3.50 to fax two pages?! Yikes!

I will do some research and put one of these free/inexpensive services on my computer for future reference.
