Astronarch is free on Fanatical for the next five days though I think those things also tend to be “While supplies last”. It claims to be a fusion of rogue-like and auto-battler which sounds like a fusion of chocolate and trout to me, but I won’t judge you if you want to nab a key.

Thanks for this, it looks interesting. I know you have to sign up for the Fanatical newsletter to claim it, but I’ve done this before and it’s no big deal. You sign up, claim it, and then unsubscribe afterward. I know that seems shifty, but eh, there goes my bid for sainthood I guess. And they’re pretty good about not sending you spam after you ask them to stop, or at least I don’t remember it being a problem in the past.

This review probably indicates why:
The game may technically be free, but it seems to be riddled with microtransactions.
The gameplay is also often described as mediocre at best.
Repetitive and formulaic, that’s what I read. That, and unbalanced matchmaking make the fun short-lived.
i stopped at the buy the battlepass for the how to play …mobile games don’t even pull that bs …
I played it a bit and did not see it begging for microtransactions, but I agree the gameplay is mediocre. I uninstalled it.

Now that type of game isn’t new but apparently, it uses real people in an FMV thing…
I don’t get anything about it. I mean, the game itself looks like you are in a relationship with a woman that satisfies multiple anime tropes and then lectures you. The premise is disturbing (a person ordered through a vending machine that is “not just your servant”). So much ick there.
But then on top of it, it’s “coming soon” even though the initial release was 2 days ago and it’s “available” today?
Are we sure that page isn’t a prank?
