This site has a list of 12 free Steam games

Fanatical is running a free game week

One of the thing that has irked me about recent giveaways is the sheer number of ‘Prologue’ entities. They’re more free-to-play demos intros (like World of Warcraft letting you play to level 20 free) than they are free games.

Then again, a lot of people feel the same about getting base games that have dozens of DLC.

And today on GOG:

missed this one but reminds me of the old syndicate series

Another addon to a free game there with the D&D one, right? Already got the other one.

It’s hard to feel churlish about not getting a real free game, just trying to not grab a bunch of crap for a free game I won’t play…

Also, not free but I believe steam summer sales started a half hour ago. It’s supposed to be today and I think it’s at noon.

Anyone else looking at Dave The Diver? It just released(out of Early Release into regular) and has really positive reviews.

Anyone play it early? I heard it is super fun.

I have not played it but I keep hearing nothing but good things about it. Seems a charming game (in the same vein as something like Stardew Valley).

For those browsing the Steam sale, I stumbled on this website and it’s pretty helpful - it tells you the current and lowest prices for a game across various stores so you can tell if it’s actually a deal. https://isthereanydeal.com/

I use this site extensively. I have a waitlist there as well and it searches the main game sites for discounts and they also track the lowest prices in history for a game so you know you deal.

I believe I paid $38 or so for Elden Ring in January, just less than a year from release. Would have had no idea without this site. It was $59.99 on Steam at the time and my purchase activated on Steam.

There’s a browser plugin that incorporates that sales history data directly into steam, both in game listings and your wish list.

I was getting really annoyed on Thursday because the plug-in wasn’t working the first day of summer sales. I figure the site was slammed from too much traffic.

I use Firefox and there was one years ago. Is there one now? What is it called?
