If you’ve got the base game, you can play it for free. The sub gives you perks, though, and one in particular - inventory space for crafting supplies - is commonly cited as essential for serious play.
Ok thanks. I got it yesterday because free, but it might just passively crowd my library.
I play ESO on the Xbox and don’t pay a dime.
There are lots of reasons to spend money but it’s not required and I find ways around it.
Yeah, there is a “crafter bag” only available to subscribers, and playing without it is really challenging because most of my used inventory is clogged with materials. I decided to only focus on a couple of crafting paths and just don’t pick up stuff for other kinds of crafting, and it’s not that bad. Especially when you start expanding your inventory space.
Dungeon of the Endless is currently free. Says “Limited-time promotion” but doesn’t specify an end date
There is none. It says on the store page:
Free to keep when you get it during this limited-time promotion.
In other words, if you get it for free now, it’s yours to keep forever in your Steam library. Just like every other promotional giveaway on Steam.
ETA: The giveaway itself will end at some point and I agree that it doesn’t specify when that will be, so if it looks good grab it while you can. (I did.)
Yeah, that’s what I meant. I can’t say “Free until Aug 2nd” and save anyone a click down the line because who knows.
Epic’s freebies for this week:
Homeworld Remastered Collection
Severed Steel was one of the Christmas freebies last December.
That is a fantastic freebie! Superb game. Well worth playing (unless you just do not dig the genre).

I own Orwell on Steam and played it a few years back.
Pretty good game. Definitely worth playing for free.
Europa Universalis is good but not for the faint of heart (in that it is very involved). Also, like so many Paradox games, they nail you in the DLC. I just had a quick look and all the DLC for the game costs over $455 or $367 as a bundle (and the game is 10 years old…still that expensive).
yeahi seen that too lol shades of sims 4 anyone ? … although you have to admit having the option to buy actual history lessons that explain the eras and the regions of the game is something that even Sid Meiers Civ series doesn’t do
