When I saw Sonic Youth, it was on a double bill with P-Funk.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call a kick-ass show.

Sonic Youth are also playing a free show here in Salt Lake in a few weeks. (last night the Black Keys played—also free—and when the show was over, they stopped in my local watering hole for a few drinks. I was talking to the doorman, who is an old friend of mine, and when the band tried to come in, he told them it was too crowded and they would have to wait until it thinned out. They started to leave, but I was able to convince my friend to let them squeeze in, and in gratitude, the Black Keys sent a cold one my way)
The first time I saw Sonic Youth, they were part of a triple bill. Sonic Youth, Social Distortion and Neil Young and Crazy Horse… A pretty good night for Utah’s music lovers!!!
