Yeah, Lou has already had conversations with the hospital social worker. I don’t know the details, Lou just said that the social worker is “not optimistic.”
Back to what I said, tell the social worker “I am rolling up the welcome mat, changing the locks and getting a new phone number. Tell Troy I said Good Bye.”
And then he needs to do it !
Lou should also visit the hospital accounting office and remove his name from Troy’s records.
It’s time for drastic measures.

That’s a totally legit response, @VOW. It’s not something I can see Lou doing, and it is not my decision to make, but I when we talk next I will remind him it’s an option.
I haven’t heard from Lou in a couple of days now so I don’t know what’s going on, exactly. I’ll check in soon to see if he has any updates.
Just updating the thread to say matters are now resolved for Lou. Troy has enrolled in a rehab program in California (where he used to work as a counselor) and got on a plane back to the mainland a few days ago.
Not sure how good Troy’s prospects are, but Lou’s life has settled down again.
Sounds like the best possible outcome! I’m glad Lou wasn’t put through a prolonged bad situation.
That’s a great outcome. Thanks for the update.
We’ll sure miss Troy and I hope (dontsaylegdontsaylegdontsaylegdontsay) heel, I mean he’ll get the help he kneeds.
You must leggo of this urge to make puns!
