Friendly reminder: FAMILY GUY returns tonite!

Only funny thing in that bit.

OK…not the only one ‘Crucify this!’ got a giggle.

I liked the cross turning into a gun.

Did you notice the nail holes when the voiceover said, “Let he who is without sin kick the first ass”?

So you were appauled when Quagmire saw a tied up cheerleader and yelled “Jackpot”?

I mean it’s Family Guy! Off color jokes are the nom de plume. They also had a joke about child beating (“Tell them I got hit with a baseball”). Its what they do!

Frankly I thought it was the best joke of the show.

“Do you know how to use one of these?”

“Do you know how to use one of these?”

Anybody else notice the nail hole in Jesus’ hand when the voiceover guy said, “Let he who is without sin kick the first ass”?

And now, back to “2 1/2 Men”

AAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!

I didn’t notice that, but I did notice that on the car Brian was driving Chris home from the dance was a “Kuncinich 04” Bumper Sticker.

Probably peter’s car.

It was a Prius, and Brian was reading “Dude, Where’s My Country?” earlier in the show. I think the car was supposed to be Brian’s - they were setting him up as a liberal sissy to contrast Stewie’s authoritarian parenting. But when did Brian get a car, and will we ever see it again?

I caught the bumper sticker too. But the license plate on the car was bri-dog, so it was Brian’s(I love DVR).

What was the reference in the Passion^2 trailer with the fishtank and Jesus diving around with a gun. I swear that reminds me of an old movie. (Sharky’s machine maybe?)

Speaking of great lines, that one was no slouch. You want to think about shopping it one around.

I thought it was a reference to that awful Arnold Schwarzenegger/Vanessa Williams movie. It was called “Eraser”, right?

I think it was from Mel’s film, Lethal Weapon 2.

(Sung to the tune of “Can’t Touch This”)
Just like thebad guy, from Lethal Weapon 2…

They weren’t mentioned because they both pre-dated FG’s original run. The gag was all the shows FOX was going to offer that squeezed FG off the schedule, so only shows that debuted after FG could be included.

From the PTC and…well, who else?

loved the show! I am amazed that Fox network, of all networks, allowed some of the jokes!!! How can they be so far right on news, but ignore it all on the network??

You’re giving way too much credit to the moral consistency of TV executives, and not enough credit to their greed, if you think this is surprising at all.

Fox has always allowed their shows to make fun of them. I remember right around the time that Fox first got the NFL. I was watching an episode of Married…with Children where they were watching TV. All of the sudden, the screen split in half with one side saying nothing but:

Watch NFL
on FOX

and in Wasted Talent Stewie beats up Lois’s piano student, Lois sees him covered in bruises and asks him what happened to him…
<Stewie>Yes…(evil pause) what happened?
<student> (nervously) I…fell

c’mon, one of the purposes of FG is to cause a “did they really say that?” shock response, much like South Park, they try to offend everyone equally

Frankly, FG’s version of 2 1/2 Men looks funnier than the actual version.

The fish tank shooting is definitely out of LW2.

There’s also this qoute:

Joe: I remember the first time my son beat me at something. I gave him a congratutory punch in the arm and another…and another. About then everything went blank. Kevin had to go live with a foster family for a while.
