Fringe 11/11

The Observers are obviously fallible and prone to fuck everyones shit up.

I remember the Observer distracting Walternate at the moment he found the cure. So, why did he do that?

Yet completely fails to explain why they used the same new color for the alternate universe episode instead of a new, fourth color

It was needed in the story in order to give Walter a reason to cross over. As for in-world, we’ll probably never find out. I doubt the writers have a reason the Observer was talking to Walternate in the first place.

No new thread for the most recent episode? Which I think is the last until January?

He wasn’t talking to walternate - he was simply “there”, you know, observing, and walternate caught sight of him long enough to miss the potion turn blue.

Walternate did most of the talking, but I’m sure he didn’t do all of it. cite

I sometimes start Fringe threads, but I’ve pretty much been complaining about this new season so I didn’t start one because it would be me just complaining again.

I haven’t watched it yet. Not sure when I’ll have the time either.

I’m clearly losing track of my colours. When have they also used this colour?

Huh?

I’d start the new thread but I already deleted it from my TiVo and don’t remember the title or the day it aired (I don’t even know what day of the week it is on–with TiVo I never pay attention to such things)… and I’m too lazy to look it up. If someone tells me that info I’d be happy to start the new thread.

This season has used the same color for episodes in both Red and Blue universes. I’m saying if these are not the same red and blue universes from past years, they should have two different new colors, not share the same new color.

Have we had any episodes in the alternative universe? They have dealt with people from there, but I can’t remember any actually set there.

From my experience:

Blue: Original
Red: Alternate
Gold: This season (possibly, by what I was saying, set in a whole new universe)

Maybe I am missing something?

I think I’d be more likely to have a heart attack if the show made it beyond this season. I mean, the network hasn’t said anything to give me pause. It’s just that I can’t seem to avoid seeing stories about the crummy – even for Friday night – ratings, plus general pessimism about shows I like.

I am really dreading the inevitable “Save Our Show” campaign. We’ll probably have to mail in apples with tiny fetuses stuffed inside or something.

Grey/black in the season 3 episode “The day we died” set in the future of the “Blue” universe.

I finally started a thread for last week’s episode: Fringe 11/18 “The Equation”

The episode where they brought the guy over from the blueverse to catch his redverse counterpart, a serial killer would be a “red” opener if it had happened last season, IMO
