Forgive me if this seems oversimplified but it has been my impression that:
~There are MTF transsexuals who were in straight relationships prior to transitioning and continued to date women after transitioning
~Most FTM transsexuals were lesbians who continued to date women after transitioning
That’s all good, I understand gender and sexuality are two separate issues, it’s fluid and everyone is somewhere on the Kinsey scale, etc, etc, but does anyone know of any cases of straight women who transitioned and continue to date men? To be honest I’m having a hard time finding any cases of straight identifying transgender women full stop.
Also mods I was at a bit of a loss where to put this, I’m after an actual case but I’m guessing this may bring in personal experiences.
Within my own circle of friends and acquaintances there are at least three FTM individuals who identified as straight or bi before transition and identify as gay after transition.
As for documented “cases,” Lou Sullivan was a reasonably well-known gay FTM.
There’s a website I go to called Reddit. There’s sections there about all sorts of stuff, including one section called “queer transmen”. so yeah, it’s common enough to get a section on Reddit, even if it’s not a very busy section.
