How do you know what Khamenei wanted? For all we know the Iranian government is going to come off stronger when it’s done. Trump may declare victory and abandon everything. Who the hell knows what’s going to happen? Certainly not Trump and Hegseth, and certainly not you. And that’s the problem – wars of choice like this are inherently unpredictable. It’s for the same reason that he keeps ignoring the question about why he thinks Israel should be OK with a “peace deal” that leaves Iran with the ability to mass manufacture ballistic missiles until it poses an existential threat - or why Israel should pretend there’s a “peace deal” in place while Iran is actively attacking Israel through proxies - if he admits that he doesn’t give a shit about existential threats to Israel, then it’s obvious that no one who does should care about anything he says.
Likewise, if he admits that he thinks America Bad and in the wrong in any conflict with any regime, no matter how horrendous they are or what actions they are engaged him - then it would be very obvious that no one should take any of his opinions seriously.
