Uh. Yeah.
Because it’s funny…We could also call her “Bristle” or “Bisquick” (my personal favorite).
I, too, have a non-traditional name. That’s why they call me Kalhoun. It’s funny.
Why are the longest Pit threads always about the stupidest bullshit
He hasn’t distanced himself from it at all. He admitted it was “bad taste” because that’s what he does for a living. Bad taste is expected and he’s paid well for it. There are very few comedians who *don’t *use “bad taste” as the cornerstone of their act.
Because they’re the ones that most people can understand and connect with?
Which is why Bob Saget’s television career is so well regarded!
And, yes, magellan, she is a fucking hypocrite. Should Dick Cheney be giving gun safety lectures?

Sad but true…
If nothing else, this event has been a teaching experience: for 20-odd years I had no idea that Letterman was a notorious leftist, let alone a paragon of the movement.
I’m not a professional tactician, but by defining your enemy so broadly, don’t you simply ensure that you will always be massively outnumbered?
Don’t you see? Starving Pinhead once again shows us that…
This is just the break the McCain campaign has been waiting for!
-Joe
OH, good, Starving Artist has brought his mighty intellect to bear on this thread. I do hope he sets aside a little time to lecture us on how much more civil everyone was in the '50s. I never get tired of that.
Here, I’ll get things started: Jack Parr or Johnny Carson would never have suggested that baseball players and the daughters of politicians would be getting it on in the dugout, dammit.
Can’t we all come together and agree that Bristol is a stupid slut? Isn’t that enough common ground for us?
A little late on the response here, but I found that very funny.
(sarcasm) BUT!! It was only funny because it was specifically about Willow Palin, age 14, brown hair, brown eyes, favorite food: sausage tacos, pet-peeve: mosquito bites on her scalp.
It just wouldn’t be funny if it was about an abstract daughter of a meathead, fundamentalist politician.(/sarcasm)
I should hope not! They’re above such things. Why, just the other night Parr told a charming story about a wayside chapel.
It’s interesting. In another thread awhile ago I repeatedly referred to Obama as ‘Hussein,’ which is his actual given name. This got the libs all riled up, and I promised to stop doing it.
Nice to see that it’s apparently OK to simply make up a name…as long as it’s about the child of a conservative Republican. Liberal hypocrisy is really quite breath-taking sometimes.
*Hussein *is an attempt to race bait. *Brisket *is an attempt to laugh at a stupid, uneducated slut. Please try to keep up.
Sometimes I think conservatives have a superior capacity for outrage.
Well, OK, why? Did you call GeeDubya “Walker”? Call his Dad “Herbert”? Did you call Horndog Billy “Jeff”? Call Sarah Palin “Whore of Babylon”?
(OK, I made that last one up.)
Not superior–just more liberal.
Does anyone have any evidence that she’s stupid or uneducated?
I think we’ve established that if you are an extreme social conservative then she might be labeled as a slut because she had sex before marriage and while in her teens.
BTW, I assume that everyone who referred to her as a slut is in agreement with the following statement: Every teenager, male or female, who has sex before marriage is a slut.
Yes, I do happen to have evidence she isn’t educated. She didn’t seem to know that allowing an unwrapped pee pee in her junk can make her pregnant.
She’s also a hypocrite because she’s parroting abstinence only sex ed as viable.
Whatever Merriam Webster says it’s obvious the people who use wreck havoc are doing so in the firm belief that the word is identical to that in train wreck, etc.
Ignorance rather than differing pronunciation is at the root of it. It’s been recognized by some dictionaries because the misuse has become so widespread that it now qualifies as an alternative (although very, very few educated people would spell or pronounce it thus).
Anybody here care to put up their hand and say quite honestly that they use wreck havoc rather than wreak havoc?
