Fuck David Letterman and all misogynistic leftists who support him on this

I haven’t read this ridiculous thread but the OP should just fuck off. In the words of Foghorn Leghorn; it’s a joke son.

Jeepers, man, where were you about 695 posts ago?

At first I was all pissed off at the idiot protesters who weren’t smart enough to leave well enough alone. But now I see Letterman proved he’s the biggest dick of all by making more jokes about Palin. What an ass. Nice of you to miss your chance at showing the smallest bit of class. All you had to do was stop responding. Instead you have to prove that your apology was insincere and you get prove that you have the platform to get in the last word.

No, it was Palin who has dragged this on and on and won’t let go. Rather than try to gain sympathy from this bullshit she needs to go read a book and come back when she has something intelligent to say.

Clearly the solution to this issue is to lock Letterman and Palin in a room together to sort out their differences.

And then forget about them.
At least until the smell becomes unbearable.

There you go again; all or nothing. The irony, it burns!

This whole thing strikes me as manufactured/contrived outrage.

Project Vote was not politically activist? (You introduced the word “political” after the fact, in a typical goalpost-moving maneuver). I’m assuming that your next weasel move will be to claim that Project Vote is non-partisan, which makes it non-political, which still leaves you dancing around the word “activist”, which you used without an adjective. Voter registration drives are not activism in your universe? I think you are alone there. And the League of Women Voters thinks non-partisan activity can be political:

Keep dancing. I’m done.

Considering that Zeigler guy is behind it, used it to promote his upcoming 9/11 conspiracy film, and they got a whole 15 protestors to picket the show, I’d agree.

A comedian is making jokes?! WTF?!

(anyone have a link?)

If we’re talking about Letterman, the terms comedian and jokes can be disputed.

Palin accepted Letterman’s apology and hasn’t commented publicly since. It’s Letterman who won’t STFU.

Umm…wtf?? Either this is a big whoosh, or you pubbies are even more delusional than I feared.

Could you point out to me any public pronouncements she’s made since she accepted the apology? Has she been all over the networks rubbing Letterman’s nose in it? It’s a genuine question, I may well have missed them.

Letterman, of course, had no intention of letting this die without a few more half-ass gags, although to be fair the crazies outside gave him his opening.

When did she accept any apology? Last I heard, she was blubbering on about how Dave’s apology wasn’t sincere and she wouldn’t trust her daughter around him.

There’s no reason to expect Letterman will quit making Palin the butt of his jokes. I would expect the opposite, she’s made herself more of a target with her manufactured outrage. She’s getting what she wants: people talking about her.

Or, “last you heard” is not actually a good standard, since you missed this rather widely reported update.

That was yesterday. How has Letterman been “not shutting up about it” since then.

I don’t claim he hasn’t been shutting up.

My claim was solely related to the “did she accept.”

In reading back over the thread, I see that KGS was not reacting to the acceptance, but to the claim about Letterman not shutting up. That context wasn’t clear to me when I posted.

Good publicity for both of them.

They undoubtedly both know it, too.
