Just remember to not pronounce the H.
Or maybe they actually know how big cities are supposed to work, and aren’t a bunch of hick tourists.
Pretty much, although different people in different places all manage to do it their own special little way.
Oi, you. I’ll have you know we French have invested a lot of money, brain-time and effort into being assholes, over multiple centuries. We’ve turned it into an art form, nay, we’ve devised industrial fucking methods to improve the productivity of our assholes to untold heights. We’ve found scientific ways to turn any pedestrian mild annoyance into a synthetic diamond of boiling wordless RAEG.
Least y’all Boeotians could do is fucking appreciate the results. Free gratis, too !
Ha, ha, I’m just kidding, of course we’ll make you pay for the privilege.
Oh, don’t get me wrong; fuck the French.
Thass more like it.
Whereas New Yorkers just do it intuitively.
Ah, j’adore zees board.
I love France and on the various occasions I’ve visited I’ve always felt a friendly vibe. Even from the security guys with the German Shepherds on the Paris metro late at night!
Maybe it’s because I speak a bit of the lingo, and/or the fact I’m neither from the US or the UK, I dunno.
Anyhow it saddens me that people may be put off visiting one of the great countries on our planet.
I read some articles recently about all the French people leaving France. Mostly moving to London. The reasons are a combination of high taxes and lack of employment opportunities for the young.
Are you all seeing this?
Will this change France?
All the French people are moving to London. Riiiiiight.
If they’re leaving for London for tax (i.e. cost of living) reasons, they’re not going to have a good time. Most expensive city I know. Even taking the fucking bus costs a minor organ of your choosing.
I don’t know about that, but I do know that there’s been a large amount of French Jews immigrating to Israel recently - 4500 people so far in 2014 alone. Not a huge amount in the greater scheme of things, but still interesting. They’ve added quite a lot of color to the areas they immigrate to.
The only thing visiting americans dont call us (filipinos) is “stinky” so it must be bad.

Francois Hollande quite likes high taxes. Obviously, those with money don’t tend to, so they run away to more right-wingier climes.
Because poor people like high taxes?
No, but they can’t generally affford to run away.
Well, as long as someone richer is paying them, yes.
What Longshanks said. And obviously the higher tax rates are only aimed at those above a certain income, anyway; Hollande introduced a 75% tax on earnings over 1m euros.
Also, I think I read recently that richer people really do (generally) resent paying tax more than poorer people, but right now I have no cite and am not 100% sure about exactly what the claim was. It’s almost not worth mentioning that, except that maybe someone else has seen it (or a refutation) somewhere.
