Depending on how deep you had tucked your shirt into your pants, you may have to change both your pants and your shirt after shitting yourself. Just saying ![]()
The key point here is that Noem got the boot for the same reason Musk did. The Trump administration is a gang of fuck-ups and fuck-ups fuck up. And every once in a while, the level of fuck up gets so noticeable that somebody has to be thrown under the bus.
My guess is Hegseth will be the next to go. Trump’s going to need somebody to blame when Iran goes south.
Only the best people…
Another gem: Does this mean that Corey will start sleeping with Markwayne now?
While that is true, I think there’s more to it. Musk and especially Noem were stealing the spotlight as potential presidential candidates. We can’t have anyone talking about future presidents, that takes away from time spent admiring Trump.
Elon Musk is not constitutionally eligible to be president. He wasn’t born in the United States.
Good point - I should have been more precise. Musk was just getting a lot of attention. He also at one point talked about starting his own political party, though that was after he’d been dumped. I doubt it was a coincidence that then Trump made friendly overtures to him and they sort kissed and made up, and Elon stopped talking about another party.
I think you are right and I’m anxiously awaiting for this to come to pass. Can I get an ‘Amen’, Brother?
What do you mean “start”? How else do you think he got selected?
(Let that rumor spread in the MAGAsphere.)
I think the real reason she was fired was because she took massive grift and Donnie Hogg didn’t get his cut. Seriously, why does any cabinet secretary need a PR campaign worth hundreds of millions of dollars? If the DOJ was anything but criminal, she’d be under investigation for misuse of federal funds.
Fuck this guy in general, but calling him cowardly based off this photo doesn’t sit right with me. Yeah, he’s not in the front line of defense. He’s a congressman. He’s what the front line is supposed to be defending. It’s the job of the capitol police and the secret service to keep the protestors out of the chamber, and forcing himself in among them is just going to make their job harder. But he’s positioned himself close enough that if they do get through those guys, they’ll get him before they get to any of his fellow congress people. And he’s taking prudent cover in case there’s gun fire or something, but he’s hardly cowering in fear there.
In this particular photo, he’s exhibiting a reasonable amount of courage and level-headedness.
Well, I’m not looking forward to the disaster that leads to it, but yes, I’ll be happy to see his back.
In general, I agree with what you’re saying. Mullin was in a room that was being besieged by an angry mob and he reacted normally.
The issue is that I’ve seen people trying to rewrite history and calling him somebody who bravely defending the capital. There’s no evidence to support this. Mullin was present at the scene; there’s no indication he took any action against the attackers.
And I’ve noticed that none of the people trying to pump up Mullin’s image by claiming he was defending the capital mention that it was Trump supporters who were attacking.
And he is an election denier who probably would have been right alongside the mob had he not been a congressperson.
Clown car.
Yes, this. Crouching down a few yards from where other Congress-people were standing near the door, ready to stop intrusion, still does not read as “courage” to me (sorry, @Miller). If he’d truly been courageous he’d have been with the others near the door. Some of them may have been LE but some of them were members of Congress, and he could have chosen to be with them.
I will agree with Miller, though, that this is NOT the most damning fact about Mullin.
Are there other congress people closer to the door than Mullin? I don’t think those people in suits are congressional, I think they’re secret service.
If they are, though, this is still really poor grounds to call him a coward. He’s a lot closer to the door than he needs to be, and a lot closer to it than most of the other politicians in that chamber, including a lot of Democrats. If you want to quibble that he’s not being heroic, sure, but there’s a lot of distance between “not a hero” and “coward.”
Nah, fuck him. If he wants to make the case that he’s not a fucking coward, let him. But until he does (and even when he does, frankly) I’m going to keep on calling him a coward. Because fuck him.
Let fascists carry their own water.
Who has Kristi in the Death Pool? Career, Marriage and Future slammed shut in about a minute. I hope all those guns she flashes are props. Maybe one is Chocolate.
